I'm glad you did, a lot of our wedding will be DIY and this thread has given me some great ideas.

Thought i'd give this thread another bump seen !!! though I've nearly finished all my bits now. This used to be one of my fave threads, as i love looking at what everyone else is busy creating!

I've made some masks and finger puppets to go into the kiddies bags, along with some crayons, a camera, glow sticks etc



I've just started my table plan, still waiting on a few r.s.v.p's before i can complete it.

Being relatively new to the forum this is the first time I've seen this thread so thanks for bumping it rinroo, all of your things are beautifil, love the table plan and the childrens bags are fab! I'm going to loose an hour now reading this thread! lol! x

Fantastic stuff Rinroo, you have put in a lot of work, and the children are going to love the stuff you have for them

Nice to see this thread back in action again, I still love looking at everyone's creativeness, even if it does make me wish I was getting married all over again lol

I've looked through the whole thread, theres some very talented people on here aren't there.

I have 2.5 years to go til OH and I get married but we're hoping to do lots of it ourselves.
I will defintately be making invites and other stationary including favours, we're doing a DIY photo booth, our own flowers (with mums help), table centres and decorations. Can't think of what else (if anything) at the moment but reading this thread has definately boosted my confidence. Thanks all. x

A lot of people think it's difficult, but it's not really, all you need is some spare time and a lot of love for what you're doing . I got so many lovely comments on my wedding day from people who were amazed at how much I had done myself, and it was nice to have that personal touch.

Though I'd give this a bump as no-one has posted for a wee while- and to remind myself to crack on with the stuff I want to make!

So far making:
Invites
Place cards (only 10 to do for top table so not too taxing!)
Possible head dress/hair vine type thing

Ooh, I didn't even know this thread existed! I'll be using it lots when I finally get the venue sorted. Currently planning on making:
- my dress :eek:
- a hair vine/headdress thing
- all stationery
- my bouquets if using fake flowers (not decided yet)
- as much of the venue decorations as humanly possible

Luckily I have about two years in which to do this..... :rotfl:
