thanks girlies

I make cards a lot anyway, so was planning on making them myself from scratch
I never buy card blanks, they are always a lot more than just buying card
thanks for the link nat, i was looking on there for inspiration last night
Im thinking of having my pocket to the side tho instead, cant really explain it
Once I do a mock up I will show you all
I may completely change my mind yet, Im quite indecisive really lolMarried on 5th March 2010still lurking on the wedding board tho :rotfl:0 -
My niece Krissy was turning 18 recently, I did a test run on creating some Luminaries, as I am planning on using them in my Feb 2010 wedding.
I was a tad shocked that they came out so well, particularly as they were so incredibly easy to do. All I created was a sleeve out of 80gsm black grain paper and then used a needle stuck in a cork to puncture out her name using a template I printed on Word- then I put a standard pint glass (4 for £2 from ASDA) inside with a tealight candle.
(I can't post links - still too new - but if you post the below code into your web-browser you'll be able to view it)
I'm thinking of using Vellum for the wedding, as I would like a lighter effect than this.
Took me a while to get the height levels right for the tealites, ended up using table salt (£0.30 for a 3kg bag at Asda) to put underneath the candle to bring the tealights up to the level needed.
For me, it was a quick, easy, cheap and effective table decoration for the event.0 -

Hmm thinking if I could maybe make some and where I could maybe put them lol0 -
heres my invites i made myself

and my favours made with plstic whine glass from asda 10 for £1 and pink and white tishue paper and pink and white glitter round the rim. this was to give a cocktail look. (hubbys idea)

I love this thread!! My boyfriend proposed 2 weeks ago (suppose he should be my h2b now!) and we are excited about getting married.
We havent set a date, or even decided on a location yet (his hometown is about 300 miles away from us, tho he lives with me now, and its causing a wee arguement or 2, but thats a whole other story!)
Anyway there will be a lot of DIY/MSE ideas incorporated into the wedding no matter what we do or where we have it, so this thread is just amazing with all the ideas!! All the bits and pieces everyone have done are fab, and very inspiring!
I am chuffed to be able to be part of it!! :T0 -
We have now decided on the venue for the ceremony and a possible recpetion venue too, its starting to feel real now!! :j0

They will. And they'll probably sell the crystals in every single colour of the colour spectrum.Going to give it a go I think! Going to Hobby Craft in a couple of weeks, do you think they'll sell the wire and crystals there?I do have a tendency to talk about utter nonsense at the weirdest of times :rotfl:Happily Crafting away in my Fortress of Solitude (Bedroom
