Gentle (((HUG))) for Pawpurrs' kitty-cat.
Tru I can't really offer a list for today, as Monday is traditionally:D recover-from-the-weekend day, but if it helps, yesterday was as follows: (not in order)- Visit farmers market and get supplies.
- Wash cloth bag that cream leaked onto (see above)
- Bake cheese, Quorn and tomato quiche
- Bake cherry pie
- Bake carrot and orange cake (these last 3 togather to make best use of the oven)
- Weekly check of the car - oil levels, wash bottle, tyre pressures etc.
- Check on and water plants in greenhouse
- Replace covers on sofa that were washed on Saturday
- Hang bedlinen outside to dry (washed overnight on cheap rate leccy)
- Wash pedestal set from bathroom
- Check online for planning applications for pubs in our area (on behalf of local branch of CAMRA)
- Ensure Mr LW has sufficient work clothes ironed (this entails supervising him ironing them!!)
Flippin' 'eck, I'm cream crackered after typing that!:D Cup'o'tea time, methinks. If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -

Afternoon all
Hope you are all having a good day so far. I am just back home from work and about to start sorting house, tea etc but having a coffee first before I start. Tea tonight is going to be a easy one of jacket pots, was going to be tuna and sweetcorn but just picked up some lovely salmon fillets on my way home so will be having those with the jackets instead and I think I will roast some veg whilst the oven is on (peppers toms, onions mushrooms etc) so it does itself really.
Other than that not much OS going on today - house is fairly up to date after the weekend.
Hugs to everyone who needs or wants one
xxx"Keep smiling, it makes people wonder what you are up to........"Dieting ........... is no piece of cake!!!!:D
Weight loss since January 2011 - 5st 5 lbs!!!!!0 -
Hi everyone,
Bit of an OS fraud on Saturday - I met dd at the new Westfield shopping centre in Shepherd's Bush. She'd booked an appointment with the style consultant at Top Shop because she's lost weight and nothing fits anymore (she's 5'11 and was a size 12 but has gone down to a small size 10 - she's been training for a marathon).
We were there 3 hours and spent lots but did put it on a new storecard to get 15% off and it will all be paid off at once so there will be no interest to pay. After that we couldn't be bothered to go anywhere else really - we were used to having the clothes brought to us, lol.
Yesterday I tackled the washing and ironing mountain and today I have stripped the beds and will wash that when I get home. Also need to make soup with the stock from the bacon joint we had last night.
Hugs to those in need - especially Halight, I'm full of admiration for how you cope so cheerfully, this weekend is the first in ages when I've not slept a good part of it - it's horrid being tired all the time.0 -
(((reverbe))) don't stay away.

Maybe in the past but I have not been down that way. Think a couple of years ago they were at a tournament in Blackpool?? Nothing planned for this year as far as I know.Spreading the gospel that is Martin Lewis to the future generation....I'm a Home Economics Teacher and being thrifty is the way!:A0 -

Hello everyone
Thank you again for the good luck wishes. Unfortunately I think that I've lost that job now. I didn't tell them about absence from work which I had three years ago, but they found out by contacting that employer. So now they are questioning my honesty and integrity. I told them that I didn't want to be judged on something which is now over, and which has no bearing on me now and which nobody knows will occur again in the future or not, hence my not putting it on the form. She said that although the question about past sickness was directly asked on the form it wasn't used as part of the selection process - my argument was that I didn't know that to be the case, and anyway I had talked it through during the medical. I may as well have told the wall as she insisted that I knowingly omitted relevant information and therefore my application was dishonest. She said she had to discuss what I said with the rest of the panel and will contact me in a few days time. My hopes aren't exactly high. I did point out to her that if I hadn't put that employer on my application at all she'd have been none the wiser, but I think my case was already lost by then.
I think I might just get the vinegar I was going to clean the bathroom with and just drink it. It gets you tipsy right??
Thanks again for your good wishes....sorry for being an unsociable drip but I'm in a bad mood now...

Get yourself back here smartish!!!!!! We're your friends!!!!!
Sybil
I don't think it's the agent as the couple seem to be looking in Tadcaster, then a village nearby then today said to the agent they were going to look in York itself.
They seem to have a pattern of staying a couple of years in one place , deciding life is not perfect there and then moving miles away, or even countries away!
DD(15) and friend have just been served tea, cheese and onion in tortilla wrap with thick home made chipsand a selection of dips.
I have chicken, onions, mushrooms, peppers and tomato cooking in the Remoska to have with wraps for the rest of us, or else with rice."This site is addictive!"
