Morning all,
Good luck for this afternoon Snowy xx
Nice day here, and I have the week off:T, but such an awful lot to do . Here is my list for today:
1. Repaint over the 'white' paint which i put on some walls last week, which turned out blue
2. Hoover through upstairs and down.
3. Clean kitchen and bathroom.
4.Get dd to give her room a good going over.
5. Mop kitchen, bathroom and conservatory.
6. Do an internet shop.
7. Make a sausage plat, peel spuds and veges for dinner.
8. Phone three estate agents and get them round to value my house.
9. Phone another estate agent and book to see another house I have seen.
10. Two loads of washing to do.
11. Take dd's blazer into the dry cleaner.
I am sure there is more, but not sure I will get round to it
Nimbo., re the mildew on the walls, I would wash it down with a bleach water solution, and keep doing it, before it has chance to come back, you can get anti mould paint, but I am not sure how good it is
Pawpurrs, ouch to poor kitty xx
Halight, hope you feel better soon xx
OK better get on with list (thanks Tru:rolleyes:)
Have good days all xx0 -
morning all!
ddin't get time to read or post yesterday - just didn't stop all day!
Today I'm off to work later till 10pm tonight(11 hour shift:eek: ) am teaching my first proper exercise class today with a visually impaired lady in a wheelchair who also has a learning disability - so its no mean feat!:D
Tru - OS jobs today
I've washed down the outside paintwork of the front door and window frames as they were rather mucky looking.
hung washing outside
vacuumed lounge and kitchen
cleaned bathroom
done some ironing
taken toad in the hole(HM) out of freezer for DHs tea.
Halight - glad the gardens doing well. Due to DHs health we are just using pots this year - he isn't upto rotivating the soil plus the rotivator is in bits. He's got some potatoes in so far but is busy planning beans, salad leaves, tomatoes, cauliflower and cabbage to start with.
PP - hope you've had a good break and are feeling refreshed x
Snowy - good luck!
(((hugs)) )to all in need.
Had a bit of luck on Saturday as I had a bit of cash on the National winner:j :j :j only a quid each way but I got £127 for my £2 - not a bad result:D
Hope you all have a great day
Take care xxDo what you love :happyhear0 -
Hi, I've ordered my new cooker which I'm pleased about. I'm just about to put some washing on the line. Then we need to go to the supermarket and the library. I'm also hoping to get ot the charity shop to find a new jigsaw for DS1, and I want to go to the garden centre. Dinner tonight will involve leftover ham from yesterday. Hugs to all who need them!0

Good morning everyone, today the weather looks a bit dodgy. To be honest it feels warmish and is dry but I don't think it'll last.
I have loads of washing to do,got my first load out. Then it's my monday house clean.
I also want to paint my garden furniture if I have time.
I've just been portioning up a huge poached rhubarb and stem ginger cheesecake, and put most away to freeze. My daughter made it for me last night,I was so greedy I just had to try it and so yes,how disgusting is this.I had it for breakfast,so lovely though. That's why it's going in the freezer or I'd eat it.I'm sure my eldest daughter want's me fat she's always bringing me food around.(LOL)
I hope you all have a good day and the weather is'nt too bad for you all.
(((hugs))) to all that need them.
Take care all..............0 -
Morning Guys!
Long time, no post from me! Sorry!!
Have the kids off school for the holidays, so have actually found time to post this morn, as having a lazy start to the day, no getting up early for the school run!
Went to Manchester over the weekend. Took my Mum to see Tina Turner at the MEN Arena. Nice weekend, did a bit of shopping and Tina was really great for her age! :rotfl:She would definately gives some young uns a run for their money! lol We stayed in the Crowne Plaza in the city centre and in my excitement of the posh hotel and mini bar in the room, I took some of the bottles out of the bar to look at then realised it automatically charges your card on removallol I sheepishly went to reception to ask if they could stop the charge to my card...£5.20 for a minature bottle of Gin!
My indulgence in not good for you foods over the weekend has taken it's revenge! Not only will I have probably not lost any weight this week, my gallstones kicked in last night and have been in pain all night. I hoped the pain would have shifted this morning, but it is still lingering, which means all the things I wanted to get on with today, will be put on the back burner for a min, as I am in too much pain to do anything
I have got a chicken out of the freezer to make a roast for dinner, but depends if I am up to making it later.
Off to sort a late brekky out! Hugs to all!

Morning everyone:hello:
Thank you for the good luck wishes for me today - the meeting is early afternoon. I'm dreading it as I will be so upset if they decide to withdraw the job offer.
I got caught up with my washing and ironing over the weekend:j but in the name of Tru's motivation I plan to do some or all of the following today:- start some seeds - for flowers rather than veg
- vacuum the stairs and the bedrooms
- apply vinegar around the bathroom as there are quite a lot of watermarks
- look on the internet for suitable wo*k openings
- ignore my finances, the thoughts of which make me ill - I'll not be buying anything today, so at least I'm not making the situation worse. Annoyingly the meeting today will use about £6-£7 worth of petrol to get to and from (and yes there are buses but that would involve three buses there and three back take about two hours each way and would cost more than £7 - such are the joys of village living)
- do a bit of tidying up around the kitchen
- cuddle kitties individually and collectively
It's time for a shower so I'll love you and leave you for now.

Morning everyone,
Later on here than usual as 2 of the children are off already (the other 2 finish on Wednesday) so we're loafing around as my Mum would sayI'm getting a shift on once I've typed this though!
Tru - Old Style jobs today:
Dust & vac upstairs & downstairs.
Vac the stairs.
Clean the bath, sink & toilet.
Wipe the doors down with Stardrops mixture.
Empty bins in bedrooms & bathroom, wash out & replace bags.
Make the tea ready for later.
Hang two loads of washing to dry.
I'm one who loves routines so I tend to have certain days when I do certain things - boring for some I know but it works for me :T
I'm also hovering over DD who is starting her latest college assignment today. It's due at the end of April but I want her to get as much of it done over the Easter hols as possible- time will tell I suppose. She's working well atm as she wants to go into Manchester this afternoon with DS2 to choose a dress for a friend's 18th.
I hope that everyone has good days I'll catch up later on xxx
Edited to add Good Luck Snowy!0
