Morning folks - first day of my Easter hols:D. DH goes away this morning for a week with work though so I'm a bit down about that. I plan to paint the bedroom and do some gardening while he's away though so that should keep me busy.
Snowy - good luck for this afternoon!
Plans for today:
*walk dogs
*return library books
* cook stirfry for my tea (loads of veg left from veggie box so I plan to only buy bread this week (and only if I really have to) - should have plenty here for a total cupboard/ freezer meal challenge for myself.
* swish and wipe bathroom and downstairs loo
* restart flylady because the house is so much nicer when I follow it
* take bag of clothes to charity shop.
Might make a pot of soup (this will be one of many this week as I can make the soup I like which DH hates - cream of celery, apple and parsnip)
Did plenty of washing yesterday but might get another load done before the weather changes. I think we are to get rain tomorrow and for most of the week.
(((hugs))) to those feeling under the weather or fragile.
Hope you're ok penpin.
Agree about that book you should write sybil!!

Good morning everyone!
Phew what a relief, thought it might all look different and I'd end up lost and have to send up a flare!
Cloudy blowy morning here, hope the weekend wasn't our summer! Dog didn't want to go out, think he was hopeful that he might still find something dropped during yesterday's barbie lol!
Put bm and wm on, kitchen looks like a disaster zone, but that'll be cos dd1 and dd3 haven't done the pots from yesterday, going to be a whole lot more if they don't get on with it soon!
Need to have a whizz around with the hoover, but will have kids in and out all day, so probably won't look like anything has happened by teatime!
Lunch today will be something with couscous - cos that's what's left over from yesterday, probably do a spicy butternut squash and chickpea stew.
Dinner will be something from the fridge, got some chicken and some ham that need using, might just throw them in sarnies, and melt cheese over them.
Time for a cuppa and a read back now xxGC Oct £387.69/£400, GC Nov £312.58/£400, GC Dec £111.87/£4000 -
Morning Peeps,:rotfl:
Thanks for this thread it is a really good idea and I do not feel so self conscious about posting here.
Today I have the usual house work.
Need to look or a new computer so please point me in the right direction.
Require new cooker and have done since before Christmas but good causes keep coming up requiring I spend the money on something else.
Really boring today, I am afraid.
Oh and a friend wants me to recommend her for a sky package and I wondered
if there is any thread here which might be helpful as she wants the lower packages.
Now tell me you don't wish you had not started this thread.:p:D
Now to go and officially make a 'thank you' or thread.
Cant really help you with the computer coz I have a laptop & always go for a Toshiba as they have been really reliable for me.
If you have a look at the I wanna board they should be able to help you.0 -
:hello:Good morning!
Donny-gal - thanks for the news of Mioliere, I bet she's fed up having to wait so long to get her internet connection!
Haribo, Pink-winged, penelope penguin - Welcome back, we missed you loads :j:wave:
snowy - Good luck, will be thinking of you x
Need to clean the kitchen floor today - will probably use Flash as there's an old packet in the cupboard that needs using up
Last night's biryani was a bit disappointing as it "caught" on the bottom of the saucepan so was drier than it should have been  Maybe it will be third time lucky!Tonight we are havign boiled gammon as I am desperate to cook something which doesn't involve chopping onions.....
On Sunday we are off to see my DBro and his OH in Germany for a week or so. We'll be leaving there on the 18th, but DBro will be flying back to UK that same day (we are going by car) - sadly our last remaining Auntie died last week, so he is coming over for her funeral, but DH and I won't be able to go as we will need at least a week of doing very little after we get home. Oh well, I'll send some flowers from us, and at least DB will get to spend some time with all our cousins.
DH was busy y'day sawing up branches.. We had a man come and cut back a sycamore at the bottom of the garden so that there were no branches overhanging the neighbours' gardens, but he left all the cut branches in the alley behind the houses (which our neighbours pay ground rent for, so it isn't our land) and we didn't realise they were there until our neighbours knocked on the door the other day to ask us to move themThe man was meant to have taken them to the tip, so we assumed he had! Mind you, there was a car at the other end of the alley so he would have had trouble getting them out - but in that case he should have let us know
 anyway DH is now having to saw them into bits small enough to bring them through into our garden so we can have the privilege of paying the Council to take them away  Hopefully that will cure him of employing someone who just knocks on the door and says they've "been doing some work up the road" - I just couldn't believe it!

Morning everyone,
Snowy, good luck this afternoon.
This is the first day of the Easter holidays for us so I had a not very Old Style lie in this morning but it was so lovely to waken up naturally instead of being bounced out of bed by the alarm.
Tru, my list for the day is:
Tidy kitchen after children have wrecked it making their own breakfasts.
Give dd a lift to work.
Do some paperwork and drop it into the office.
Take ds2 to the park with his kite
Vacuum the bedrooms
Swish the bathrooms
Cook a fish pie
And clear out another cupboard. In an effort to declutter I've vowed to clear one cupboard or drawer out each day so I don't get too overwhelmed by how much I need to do and give up.
Right better get on with it!I hope everyone has a good day.

As some of you already know my DGD arrived early last tues morn (see avvy!!) and she is called Layla and is adorabubble:D:DDD has taken to motherhood like a duck to water, and little one is very good and such a good feeder;)
OS wise i'm doing soup and a veg curry, and sorting through mountains of baby clothes, as she is too small for all the 0-3 months we got her:rolleyes:

Snowy - good luck today
Taplady - what a lovely win, enough to do something nice with I hope
Tru - my routine today was wm and bm on, cook breakfast, slump on here, tell girls to get on with the washing up so I can sort out the rest of the kitchen, I will then do the kitchen, hoover and take ds into town to get his new phone, cook lunch, tidy round, sort out more washing, get dinner, go to work leaving instructions about pots and mess! In between I shall mess about on here, hopefully plant some stuff and drink copious amounts of tea!
Me4U - welcome to the thread)
Liney - oh rose petal perfume, my girls make that now, well not the big ones any more, just the littlest, and lavender water!
Well the girls are clanking in the kitchen, and the screaming has stopped, so might be safe to venture in there in a bit - if you don't hear from me again then I've left home cos I'm fed up refereeing and it's only Monday lol!
Lots of hugs to those who need them xx
Edit:
Candy - many many congrats to you and your dd xxxGC Oct £387.69/£400, GC Nov £312.58/£400, GC Dec £111.87/£4000 -
