elle once hes born you can claim for both yes it does take in to account both of your earnings but its worth seeing x

I think on the rough figures I tried it on ages ago we earn too much :o (approx £46k). Would get something like £50 a month whilst I'm off then £10 a month after the first year. Still, every little helps! :D

I got a letter the other week (I think it was sent to everyone under 25 or registered at fam plan/GUM or something) offering me a free test its just a pee in a pot test so don't understand why they don't test for it at booking in along with the other stuff - in fact why don't they test for everything at booking in, considering you've obviously been put 'at risk' if you got preg :rotfl:

It may have been from your GP. There is a scheme in North West where the GP practice gets £5 for every sample sent off for Women under 25 for Chlamydia screening. My MW DID send my off and I got a text about a week later saying it was negative. If it has been positive I would have been contacted and asked to attend a clinic to get some antibiotics.

Thanks for that elle - I will make sure to do that though it is unlikely I'll get much tax credits.

MM, time for the Bio Oil? It's 3-4-2 at Boots at the mo..

I've got that brown line appearing up the middle of my belly  OH was trying to tell me it was a huge stretchmark until I found something about it in a book to prove it wasn't! :(

Elle - thanks you've probably just proved my point. Our joint income is a little bit more than this so nice to see a rough guide of what help we'll get. It's the damn mortgage that stings - almost £1000 per month

I think that £50 a month for the first year then £10 a month after that is the bare minimum everyone under the limit (£57k?) gets.. :)
