having suffered all through my pregnancy the whole nine months even in labour and when having my c-section i was sick as well ,my midwife suggested warm flat coke .i think i am really one of the unlucky ones i even feel sick when i'm due my period .
i found the only thing i could keep down was jelly and fromage frais .
i also found drinking sparkling water helped a little .

I don't know when the rules changed from 6 months - but I am guessing here and thinking that maybe your employer only pays you for that length of time but you can apply to get the money from the government somehow after that? I would however ask them outright to find out as as Krystal says it sounds like they might not have updated that section of the handbook :)
It was 2years ago  I missed out on the extra 3months with my Jan baby :(

GISI - it is the LAW that you get mat pay for 9months so you WILL get it weather they like it or not! :D

.. got my 16 week appointment on wed. also having more blood tests. think its the triple test.
wonder will the midwife have a listen for the heartbeat..

Oh yes, that was the last time I was at the midwife's, for the triple test, and she listened for the heartbeat. I remember now - there was a thud noise which she said was a kick but I couldn't feel it then.

Reminds me, I'll have to ask what the results of my test actually meant - I know it was low risk, but I wanna know what that "spina bifida = 46" thing means.

Working Tax Credits are a "family income" thing, aren't they, not just my income? I've never looked into it.. all seemed too complicated and I've always been childless and under 25.. until now! (How'd that happen?!).

Cause me and OH both work full time our combined income is £23,500 ish. And it seems alot, so how come we're always skint? :rotfl:
But becuase of that we wont get any help, or very little. Until i go to uni.

Reminds me too.. once you and OH get your P60 (anytime soon!), you can put your details into www.entitledto.com and supposedly find out accurate figures for how much in tax credits you'll be entitled to..

I think my memory's packing up, ya know.. keep using the phrase "that reminds me"! :(

was reading in the NHS pregnancy book that you can apply for the sure start maternity grant, if you dont qualify, after you have the baby as then you will be more than likely getting some form of working tax credit. has anyone on here done that and been sucessful?? or know of someone that has been (maybe on the parents thread??)

Glam, I've just been looking back at my Facebook statuses (statusi?!) and I was watching my belly move when I was 20+6 (March 7). Might have been earlier than that - will be a comment on here no doubt! When I thought I could feel something but wasn't sure, tia told me to lie flat on the sofa and press on my belly a bit to nudge baby into pushing back! :D Course it depends on where your placenta is too - if it's on the front wall (between the surface of your belly and baby) it'll absorb some of the force of the kicks so you won't feel it so much, I believe. No idea where mine is, wasn't mentioned at the scan, but I'm assuming it's not at the front!

I do feel it more when I lie down - will try and remember to ask at 19w scan where placenta is.

Jillie - i woke up the other night with a crazy fluttering like a boxer punching madly! I'm not seeing MW til 20w cos i don't need triple test now I've had NT scan.
i might see if i can listen to heartbeat when I see consultant - is that wishful thinking?!!

    munching another smoothie lolly :D
