I think it was Krystal who said recently she was finding it hard finding clothes for Aimee now she's bigger(as in grown up - she's NOT fat!) that weren't mini versions of adult stuff:rolleyes: and the government try and say that teen preg rates are down to lack of education well back in the day when my mum was young there wasn't any sex ed and much fewer teen mums!
My mum has trouble finding flat shoes for girls. In shoe shops there are a huge range of shoes with big heels and only about 20% have no heel.
And my 8 year old sister isn't the most girly girl haha.
And she CANNOT walk in heels. Takes after her big sister lol (i once wore platform wedges and broke my ankle)

DS1's favourite toy as soon as we walk into our childrens centre is usually the pink buggy with the doll in it (they have a blue buggy as well which I think is cool) and then other times he'll want to play with the cars. He hates getting his hands dirty whether its food, mud, etc. However my mum and auntie are complete opposites, auntie was the pretty pink one with dolls and my mum had action man (60's kids) and played over the park in ditches, mud etc all day. Saying that its my mum who can hang wallpaper, wire up electrics, plumbing etc and my auntie wouldn't want to break her nails! Yet they had the same upbringing so I supposes it depends on the child as much as their environment.
Went to midwife yesterday and I'm still measuring two weeks ahead but she wasn't bothered about it, BP was fine and she's really happy about us having a homebirth. She said they will ring me an sort out a time to pop round and talk it through with me at home, it'll also mean all my midwife appt will be at my house not the doctors. Really happy about that as the doctors is a 1.2 mile walk each way (although I did it in 25mins there and 35min waddle back):heart2: Charlie born Aug 2007 :heart2: Reece born May 2009

Sami - your post made me smile! My dad used to skip down the hill with my sis on his shoulders, made me cringe! (although it's a Dad's job to embarrass his kids!) Not that a man would skip but such a public display! I think it's fab you break into song in Tescos - mainly because I'd never dare. Am more of a bookish sort, though I love sports and the outdoors.
Think Dh might be a bit funny about the pink and teasets if it was a boy but he wouldn't win that one lol!MFW Challenge member no. 96 - on hold!

Yeah it was me that didn't like any of the clothes in the asda over 5 range Sami... It's like as soon as they start school they should be wearing crop tops and platform shoes... No daughter of mine will be in crop tops and platform shoes!
ML, it's amazing what you will do once you've got children... I can often be found sitting on the 340 singing 'the wheels on the bus' Something I never thought I would do...
Just measured my fundal height... And I got 2cm shorter than the mw yesterday by starting at the top of my pelvis rather than halfway down... Funny that!A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...My Fathers Daughter wrote: »Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

39 Weeks for me today! Woohoo Im so excited been having period type pains and very strong BH's for the past two days so Im hoping I dont actually go over by too much! Still seem to have alot to do though before she arrives but its keeping my mind off it.
Whoo, congrats on your 39 week anniversary! And hope the pains you have been getting turn out to be productive
I'm 37 + 1 now and starting to feel fed up with being pregnant now. My maternity leave starts officially from next Tuesday (I'm on annual leave at the mo) so in a weeks time I think I'll be trying out the clary sage and setting hubbie on with some nipple tweaking...lol!!!! :rotfl::D

When you say top of pelvis do you mean sort of where your pubes stop? coz if u do ur doing it wrongyou measure from top of uterus (by now up around ur ribs) down to just above ur clit the proper name is summat to do with 'pubis'
