Sad alert - cos I don't believe I actually just measured it :o:o:o
The TV is a portable (old one) and sits on top of a chest of drawers that are 2 ft 6 ins high. I don't know how high a standard room is. But, the ironing went from the chest of drawers to 6 inches from the ceiling. It would have touched the ceiling if I hadn't of ironed a few bits as they came in off the line:o
What's worse, is that I still have washing/ironing to bring in off the line, plus a load waiting to be hung up in the washing basket, plus at least another 2 loads of ironable washing still to do:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek: And even worserer ( that's a TAg word by the way:D) the ironing pile is now at least a foot and a half above the TV, BEFORE I've done the afore mentioned:eek::eek::eek::eek:
**Wanders off muttering that I must get back to ironing 15 items a day.**
Very OCD I know. Only Valli understands me!!!!:p:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I wondered that as well.
ETA - Just googled Concordes cockpit and I don't think it is. The 'handle bars'/ steering wheelssorry don't know what they're really called, are not slanted enough.

During WW1 a lot of refugees came over from Belgium. A big house near me which was, way back when, owned by the council, became a hostel for belgian refugees. And, once the war was over, reverted to a council house again (three flats if I recall correctly). Sadly, it is now no more and a block of 13 flats takes its place.
You should read at least one AC book. The TV productions are, generally, quite faithful (apart from some of the Geraldine McEwan ones) to the plot. They are very easy reading. Not too heavy, but not too light. In fact, if you fancy PMing me your address, I'll pop the copy of Nemesis that I bought a couple of months or so ago (to see which TV production was the most faithful to the original plot) in the post to you. It's a bit dog eared and worn (the dog tried to read it a couple of times, and I read it in the bath a couple of times) but you're more than welcome to it.
That would be wonderful if you're sure you don't mind parting with it? I've PM'd you - if you prefer I could just borrow it, you might want to read it again one day! I'm curious now about which production was more faithful to the plot, are you going to tell me, or shall I have to read it to find out? I will read it even if you tell me, promise!
Interesting about the Belgium refugees near you."Snowflakes are one of nature's most fragile things, but just look what they can do when they stick together."

I've PM'd you back - and you can keep it - with my love. I have far too many books as it is. And I won't tell you which production is more faithful to the plot. I will set questions for you to answer once you've read it - of the 'compare and contrast' essay variety :rotfl:I am the leading lady in the movie of my life

SSL and TAG - we were thinking concorde but weren't at all sure. Aviation forum has one reply at the moment which is suggesting a Trident. I need to google that.I am the leading lady in the movie of my life

Hi everyone, I'm back! Only paused for a cup of tea before elbowing aside DD, and checking in here.
We've had a brilliant week in Marseille, with hot sunshine nearly every day, eaten loads of yummy food (and I was even brave enough to try bouillabaisse!) and done lots of touristy stuff.
Thought of you all when I visited the church that is on the highest point overlooking the city.
I'll catch up tomorrow....It is never too late to become what you were always intended to be0 -

Yep defo looks like a Trident cockpit to me. No idea what sort if they do sorts, but the picture I compared is spot on to yours.

Thanks Soappie, you are a star! I look forward to reading it!
Serena, Marseille sounds wonderful! I'm dead jealous!
Ok, I'm going to try to do some kind of chores before bed, and then go to bed! My plan is to hang out hte wet washing to dry, and clean the loo.
And then relax in bed with my book while DH watches MOTD!"Snowflakes are one of nature's most fragile things, but just look what they can do when they stick together."

Right I am now going to vacate DS's bedroom. He has very kindly let me in to use his puter cos guess who's on the one downstairs. Oh how rare!!!:rolleyes::rolleyes:
Any how, I've had a good day today. Haven't crossed vast amounts off my list but I've achieved alot in other areas.
Dad came over with Easter eggs for the kids and a big one for me:D:D and treated us all to fish and chips for tea. :DNom, nom, nom.:D I can't remember the last time we had a take away. Must be a good 6 to 8 months.
DS and I have also hidden a mini easter egg hunt for DD in her bedroom. He bought her 6 creme eggs and I've hidden 32 mini eggs. Can't remember where they all are  so she'll probably still be finding them at Christmas:rotfl:
Might catch you all again later, if not I'll pop in for a bit in the morning before we go and get DD. Must say it's fab to be back again:j
Oh and from one insomniac to all the others that are suffering, sleep well vibes winging their way to you tonight.;) Get a few more of us and we can have a nightly flylady thread. We could have the days list done before all the other flyladies have started:rotfl::rotfl:0
