hex2 Thank you and yes it does. I eat the same as DH but not all the extras I used to eat. i.e. I now eat a healthy diet and it is the way it will have to be for the rest of my life if I don't want to put it all back on. However, I still have a long way to go and I do fall off the wagon occasionally - like this weekend's 3 hot cross buns. Mind you flying is getting me more exercise than I used to get.

Sunnygirl, you are right about the cousins. I’ve often wished I was closer to mine. One lot live in Australia, and the other lot live in the UK, but have an evil mum (my ex-Auntie-in-law). I’m glad for your kids that they see their cousins a lot! It’s nice! I’m going to make sure my kids see a lot of their family when I have some.
Soappie, did your dad go on holiday anywhere on a plane. In the old days, before 9/11, I believe people were allowed to go in the cockpit and see the plane being flown. Maybe he took a picture during being shown the cockpit?
Re Easter: I would never tell you or anyone to bog off! I’m always happy to answer questions. We don’t celebrate Easter. All our beliefs come from what the Bible teaches. We celebrate the Memorial of Christ’s death, also known as the Lord’s Evening Meal. It is an observance that Jesus himself instituted on his last night on earth. He told his followers: “Keep doing this in remembrance of me.” – Luke 22:19. Every year we commemorate this event on the same day that Jesus started this observance, Nisan 14 in the Jewish calendar. This year it was Thursday 9 April. It was a really lovely occasion, very special. It’s really a time when we think about what God did for us in sending his Son to the earth to die, and we give thanks for the ransom sacrifice.
Today is just an ordinary day for us, we do what we would normally do, although of course some might take advantage of time off work to go away for the weekend!
I hope that you’ve all enjoyed your celebrations. I was curious when you were all talking about Lent, what is that?"Snowflakes are one of nature's most fragile things, but just look what they can do when they stick together."

Not that I'm aware of. All holidays when I was with M&D were taken in the UK - often the Isle of Wight! Certainly at the time the photo was probably taken, I don't recall my parents ever having flown anywhere.
And thanks for your explanation on the Lord's Evening Meal. Lent is something the Anglican church does - to commemorate? the 40 days wandering in the wilderness. It starts on Ash Wednesday and ends on Easter Saturday. There's a Wiki about here:
