I'm after a couple of bits of advice:

Firstly, my mum has a smoothie maker - basically a liquidizer with a spout. As the spout doesn't come off, does anyone have any suggestions as to how to clean it and what with?

Also - the friend that had the D&V bug last weekend got disoriented in the night... not to go into too much detail, but although the carpet has been cleaned there are still a couple of marks on it. We do have a spare piece of carpet so could replace it, BUT I'd like to try to get the stain out (after all, as we can replace it, it doesn't matter if I make it worse!). Any suggestions? I have borax, bicarb, vinegar etc... and can get anything else later in the week.

Hope your HHC goes well Rose.

Thanks Penny. Well done on completing the whole week again. I wonder whether anyone else has managed to keep up with you? Toots will have to start a hall of fame for total number of weeks completed/continuous weeks completed!

in what way clean it greenbee? - do you mean physically - then what about a bottle brush or tootbrush - or is it stained - i find things get stained with fruit/veg juice and very little moves it - what about a good soak in hot water and borax?

as for the carpet I would use stardrops neat so you could probably use your borax if you havent any stardrops.

maybe the others will be able to help better

And No I am not starting a hall of fame LOL!!!! -we have several who get all the lists done everyweek - post 3 is big enough!!!!

Thanks Toots, I was sitting there refreshing page 1! Sad aren't I!

Maybe I should keep going wiht this weeks list next week and then I'll know that the whole place has been done properly...or I could just try to remember that the kitchen and LR are the priority rooms next week.

Just popping in to say Hi.

Have spent the morning feeding the WM and TD after an Easter Egg hunt organised by DD for OH, DS and me .

Have trimmed the dog which took the best part of an hour and then spent the next 20 mins trying to hoover the hair off my lap where she had lay.

Need to hoover through downstairs in a bit and get the roast in for tea.

greenbee - we have a smoothie maker which the jug part comes off and it fill it with soapy water in the sink and just open the spout. It seems to rinse the spout through fine. As for the carpet I find that the Oxy type cleaners seen the best, might be worth a try.

lilysue - I wondered from your avatar whether you were in Norwich, I'm not too far away in KL.

Cant remember anything else I wanted to say so as I might not get back before we go away

    Good luck toots

and hope everyone has a good week

    Happy Easter Everyone!!!

Not too bad a one here, weather has been ok until now and it's raining. I let the boys ring an egg each so they have had that (sorry I don't buy them - however much of a grump that makes me they have £5 to spend at the farm tomorrow instead) Been having a little clean since the rain started, shook the throws off etc. Been on the phone to DPs family who're coming here tomorrow to sort out visiting the farm, they think it's a good idea too :D great time of year for it with all the little lambs etc.

Currently searching for dog boarding kennels locally, we were thinking of going to Flamingo Land on Tuesday/Wednesday if we can find somewhere to have the dog as I have a pile of deal vouchers to use at theme parks. Bother cancel that haven't got his vaccinnation certificates with us.....poop!

Think I will take the boys down to the pool first then back to clean up.....ttfn :)
One day I might be more organised...........

Afternoon back from the dump - only one other car there. My car is in need of some TLC and a serious internal seeing to next week.

Just having a cuppa then I'll mop the floors and get changed to go to Mum's.

Greenbee - a funny old guy cleaned my carpets once with this homemade machine (it was like something from chitty chitty bang bang), he used to clean the carpet in nightclubs and bingo halls. He told me to use the hottest water possible and a bar of plain white hand soap. It has worked on many stains. Also have you tried stardrops?

Rose - sorry you was not well enough to go to your service and hope you feel stronger tomorrow. You will get better, I know you will, but it is a long road and takes time to travel

PenPen thanks and Happy Easter Chicken

Hoping to put a few more bits on ebay this evening so if you catch me flitting around posting aimlessly on nonsense threads give me a nudge!
