Grateful - the initial loss was fairly easy cos mostly I eat like a pig and do naff all exercise! I am doing GI based stuff plus couch to 5k podcasts for jogging 3 times a week. I was a size 10 10 years ago so I know it is possible. I am currently making chocolate bread and butter puding and a caramel cheesecake for tomorrow, but will be eating none of it. Sniff, sniff.

I know Toots what was I thinking?

    :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Actually it's not that bad. It was a cheapie from Home Bargains. Marvellous!! The only downside is, that it's a little dark, but I think it will probably fade quite quickly.

My nippers all had Chicken Pox when they were teenies. DD1 @ 4, DD2 & DD3 10 days later @ 15mths and 4wks  DD1 & DD2 were covered, but DD3 only had 3 spots! :D She's been around loads of children with chicken pox since, but never come down with it again. Fingers crossed she'll be ok.

Dippy.. he is a TIME LORD.. he can be anywhere at any time... duh!!!!!!!

Duh back to you :p I said it could be Dr Who but not David Tennant. This is because David Tennant is an actor portraying that great Time Lord

RoseP - the Miss Marple story (The Mirror Cracked From Side To Side) was about an actress who had a disabled child because she caught Rubella (german measles) from a fan. German measles is the most well known virus causing problems in early pregnance.

But, any virus caught by a pregnant lady in the first three months or so can cause problems. However, my niece who was round today, aged 9, is a living testimony to the fact that it's not always the case. My SiL had chicken pox when she was just under 3 months pregnant with my niece and nothing untoward happened.

My little brother who was round today has had chicken pox twice. First time when he was a few weeks old and the second time when he was about 20.

That's the story I meant, I'd gotten confused between chicken pox and german measles. Well done Soappie, I knew someone would know what I was talking about!
My sister and I had chicken pox as children, I distinctly remember having camomile lotion dabbed on my spots by mum! Then my sister got shingles when she was in her teens. She always gets all the dramatic illnesses! Poor thing! I got lots of colds, and suspected german measles. She got whooping cough very badly, shingles, and a tummy virus so bad she was rushed into hospital and put on a drip - you could count all her bones she was so thin and poorly. Hopefully she is over all that now.

Actually, to take that factoid further, and to really bore you all. It's reckoned that Agatha Christie wrote that book based on the real life story of the actress Gene Tierney who had a disabled child because she contracted German Measles from a fan....

Why do I know these things?????

Oh that's interesting! I will tell my mum, she will be interested.
Agatha Christie based Miss Marple on her grandmother, I wonder who she based Poirot on!

    Love it ladies! :rotfl:

Though Rose, it would have to be Louis Theroux's Dad. The picture must have been taken in the late '60s, or '70s. and the navigator could be Dr Who but not David Tennant - he was only born in 1971.

And Mozzy - the one on the left looks more like a Jim to me..... why are you fuming?

Soappie You have made me feel so good about myself only born in 71 he's well old compaired with me!:rotfl::rotfl:

Rose great info about Dr Who I will tell the boys.

I love David Tennant more now I know he has to put on an acting voice to cover up his Scottish accent!!!!!!! I wish Torchwood would hurry up back on. Captain Jack *weak at the knees*
