They say that if you loose one of your senses, that the other ones compensate for the missing one, maybe your OH, needs some help!:rotfl:

Next time ask him to get up and have a look at the oven, and turn it off if nothing else!

I love my OH at times!:rotfl: he has left me a lovely box of choccies for Easter, but why is it that the box has the selection of flavours printed on the bottom of it!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

He certainly needs help alright. He's gone to the pub out of my road now!

I love choccies but I'm mad most of them have no coffee cream in them anymore. I think the reason that they print on the bottom is someone is meant to feed you them, you lie on the sofa, they hold the box up so you can choose and then pop the one of your choice in you mouth!!!!!!!!!:rotfl:

  • Is it sad to be so happy that I've washed up today? I was trying to think of something interesting about today to write on Facebook and that was the most exciting and pleasing event I could think of!
I get a nice satisfied feeling in my tummy when I've done some flying! I'm happy to have achieved something!

I thought it was just me! I have felt so much better this week for having done quite a bit of flying. I know my enthusiasm won't last (partly because when I am back at school I won't have the energy or the time - but DD will be back at uni so less will need doing)

I was really down the last few weeks - been off work ill and couldn't get back to my normal self. Even dd commented that she didn't like seeing me so down. I'm not sure people would understand that decluttering and cleaning are responsible for my more upbeat mood - but I know people on here will :D

Have given up on DDs room so won't get final star but have started packing, done a few of the little jobs on my list but more importantly have sorted the huge mountain of filing (there was a pile on the shelf that I kept adding to and when that got too big I started another one). I have now sorted it all into folders - tax, insurance, receipt, statements etc so feeling really pleased with myself. The individual folders will need sorting at some stage as some stuff can probably be recycled but at least I know if I want something to do with the car it will be in the car folder. Should make life easier if I can make myself file weekly (does it appear every week on the list?) Bonus was that I founded an invoice I needed to return faulty ipod radio thingy and also a letter I needed to reply to but had lost.

Re shopping - I am exactly the same - like to control the order both on the belt and in the bags (and even like certain bags for certain things) and then in the boot in a certain way) - but I get cross if the checkout person waits until everything is loaded on the belt before they start running things through. I guess we all have our own little ways :rotfl:

OK that's my 15 minute break - now off to finish packing.
Proud to be dealing with my debts

re shopping packing: i am glad it's not only me :o - i like to pack it myself too. it all goes in certain bags and in a certain order - so much easier unpacking and putting away at home. - and definitely bread on top and heavy on the bottom, and cold together and veg/fruit ... it makes sense to me

Snap!! I was bag packing with the community theatre group Christmas before last and it was very busy. I was very aware of a woman in the queue looking at me, but I assumed it was due to my Fairy Queen outfit. Anyway, it came to her turn in the queue and I asked her if she would like a hand. 'Oh yes, please' she said. 'I dont normally let people touch my shopping, but I've been watching you and you know how to pack a bag!' So fess up....which one of you was it????

Sorry to hear you have been ill. Hope you are soon on the mend. I know what you mean about feeling better for having done some flying - you've achieved something, and things are always better when you are in a nice clean tidy environment.
Re the checkout thing - you need to tell the checkout person not to wait for you to load everything on as we were always told to wait and would get into trouble if we didn't. Most people feel frustrated if we started scanning the stuff before they were ready to pack, but we are happy to scan if the customer wants us to! Well, that's where I worked anyway!
