I brought some reduced muchrooms - best way to cook them please - just bog standard ones and I just want them as a side dish, do I just wash or slice and put in some butter?.

Probably too late for you now but what I do is a bit of butter in a pan. Mushrooms washed and sliced, in the pan, fresh ground black pepper and salt on them and let them cook gently for 10 - 15 minutes. All the liquor comes out of them then and they are really much nicer.

I'm too clumsy so he doesn't let me do them (on this, I'm happy to do as I'm told :rotfl:).

You need to work on this clumsiness Rach - perhaps start dropping dishes when you're washing up, accidently ~cough~ burn one of his shirts when ironing etc. etc. ;)

Also, soappie and dusty, I'm very particular about packing my shopping too...I have to have it all on the belt in a certain order and pack certain things together!

Dusty and Rach and Mozzy and Rose etc. - I'm so glad I'm not the only one that has the conveyor belt and bag packing OCD. I guess it's akin to Valli's matching pegs.... I think I understand her better now :rotfl:

If it makes you feel any better I stuck a hotpot on and went to watch midsummer murders. OH on the computer in the kitchen shouts I think that's burning?! I went through to the kitchen and it's burned to the backside of the pot. So we are now having a Balti and rice as the hotpot wasn't salvageable! How can you be sitting right next to it and not know it was burning, idiot.

They say that if you loose one of your senses, that the other ones compensate for the missing one, maybe your OH, needs some help!:rotfl:

Next time ask him to get up and have a look at the oven, and turn it off if nothing else!

I love my OH at times!:rotfl: he has left me a lovely box of choccies for Easter, but why is it that the box has the selection of flavours printed on the bottom of it!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Had a quiet pottery bank holiday at home, read a bit of my book in the garden and slowly fluttered in the bathroom. Ds3 watched " Robots" while I cooked tea and kept coming through to keep me updated...I almost feel like I watched it.........

My husband has a strange version of conveyor belt OCD....he has to arrange all the shopping bar code up to make it easier for the check out person...I keep telling him not to do this as he then rushes like mad to pack things away any old how , sometimes crushing and denting our shopping ( in my opinion, he of course does not agree :D )

Is it sad to be so happy that I've washed up today? I was trying to think of something interesting about today to write on Facebook and that was the most exciting and pleasing event I could think of!
I get a nice satisfied feeling in my tummy when I've done some flying! I'm happy to have achieved something!

Rose, no it's not sad to be so happy you've washed up today. Take pride in your achievements! I know from what you've said washing up is a bit of a stumbling block with you so pat yourself heartily on the back. Well done you :T
