You'll need to cook the chicken a bit longer than the salmon if you're to kill off all the salmonella bugs. Bung the chicken pieces in a bit of foil with a half a glass of white wine, butter on top and taragon if you have it. Or, if you're using chicken breasts, slice them in half lengthways (like butterfly chickent) and they'll cook quicker.

Thanks superchef soappie, will do... :)
Soappie - I'm particular about packing but am educating the children into how I pack (I actually need the stuff on the conveyor belt in a set order and the kids know it - gee they are being brought up OCD

Same with me, I like to unload in a certain order, bread last, heavy stuff first, etc and then packed in the opposite order... and hate it when they start helping pack and just put it in anyhow... I know that sounds ungrateful, but I just end up re-packing - sad I know...:o:o

    scroll through all the pics.

This, obviously, is before Flower got there LOL

Hey, that's my finest work there... :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:Unreal, where do the agents get off putting those photos on...
(Oh, and Grateful, VERY brave!!! :D:D:D)

Today I have mainly been doing the garden... We have managed to strim round the edges, cut the grass, weed and put bark ontop and tidied up the patio (in other words, made my DS clean up his bike bits) and jetted it all off... then it rained... :rotfl:

Indoors now, but a bit poggered, so am taking it easy - just watched Robots on ITV2 - good fun family film... laughed a lot...

Off to do something now, not sure what, but am sure if I look I'll find something... ;):rotfl:

    haven't done much all afternoon.
we had our dinner (roast lamb was really nice!) - i don't do it too often because it's quite fatty but there was enough meat on this one :T - even ds liked it!
i've put all dishes in the dw and kitchen is tidy again :T

kids are playing for good an hour now ... together!!!!
running around in the whole house mostly upstairs ... i think i'll go and check on them in a minute :D

re shopping packing: i am glad it's not only me :o - i like to pack it myself too. it all goes in certain bags and in a certain order - so much easier unpacking and putting away at home. - and definitely bread on top and heavy on the bottom, and cold together and veg/fruit ... it makes sense to me

Woah Valli, just looked at those pics! WHAT A MESS! Didn’t they think to tidy up before the estate agent came! LOL! It looks a little like my house right now...

Dusty, How nice to find something of your Grandfather’s, it kind of brings you a little closer to have something so personal as his signature. I wish I had a momento like that when my Great-Grandfather died.

Soappie, Dusty and Rach, I too am very particular about packing. Having worked at Waitrose I had how to pack drummed into me and have a different bag for fresh/frozen/grocery/veg etc. DH has no idea how to do it and loads up the conveyer belt all wrong, but takes orders from me when it comes to the packing end!
Flower – tell them how you want it packed and they should do it properly. I’m surprised they don’t do it properly in the first place, but if they are going to pack they should do it as per your requirements! We always did as the customer asked!

I've done some washing up today, and have decluttered all the stuff round the sink so it will be easier to clean in a mo - all hte cleaning stuff is ready and waiting so will try to do it this evening or tomorrow.
Had a really horrible night full of nightmares - I felt a bit traumatized whenI woke up and had to spend ages convincing myself that what I'd dreamed wasn't real!
Have been tired and headachey all day, but have had quite a nice relaxed day today. Watched Nicolas Nickleby this morning which was lovely! I recorded it at Christmas and found it on a tape - I'd forgotten all about it! DH pretended not to watch it but he was! And he went out and did a big shop which was really needed so that's great! He hates going on his own, so glad he didn't make me go with him.

Burnt the rice saucepan, messing around on lappy, forgot about the rice cooking to go with my HM curry, cat 1 jumped, I wondered what spooked him. I really do curse my loss of hearing some times, OH is away, good job cat 1 is in, cat 2 is totally deaf as well! (hearing aids out today as home alone, telly off, they are now back in!!:D)

Went into kitchen, it seems the rice had popped, the pan is about nanno seconds from catching fire, so turn off gas plate, move it over to the side, open windows, smoke alarm then goes off, which I would have heard!

Re cooked some more rice, and curry was lovely!!!

Now semi cleaned pan, I'll finish it later.

Wm done, DT on, folded and away in airing cupboard.
    Hoovered round

    Been to work.

    .

If it makes you feel any better I stuck a hotpot on and went to watch midsummer murders. OH on the computer in the kitchen shouts I think that's burning?! I went through to the kitchen and it's burned to the backside of the pot. So we are now having a Balti and rice as the hotpot wasn't salvageable! How can you be sitting right next to it and not know it was burning, idiot.
