You'll need to cook the chicken a bit longer than the salmon if you're to kill off all the salmonella bugs. Bung the chicken pieces in a bit of foil with a half a glass of white wine, butter on top and taragon if you have it. Or, if you're using chicken breasts, slice them in half lengthways (like butterfly chickent) and they'll cook quicker.I am the leading lady in the movie of my life

I had better get off my backside and shower so that we can go out. Will first have to swill out the two bins that are soaking in the bath with cleaning stuff in at the moment. I'm heading over to my friends after lunch to give her the post from her house in wales where we stayed so I'll see you all later this aft when I will hopefully be able to cross a few more bits off and get some stars.
Also want to make a start on the job app this aft....i think I just need to brain dump all the stuff that's been whizzing around my head onto some paper as a starting point.Mum to gorgeous baby boy born Sept 2010:j0 -

see we already sorted custard!
Might have a go at making real custard actually - especially as I have caster sugar which lives in a jar with a couple of vanilla pods...
Today I must strip the beds then that will have been a full house!
Friday fun! - childrens rooms
We need these looking nice for when the children go back to school so I think it is only fair they help clear up!
Level One
Clear the floors in the childrens room.. throw out any broken toys and find some that are no longer needed that can be sent to charity shop or given away.
Drag everything out from under the bed too.. there is floor under there!!
Level Two
Change the childrens bedding and mine too
Vacuum mattress (after turning & wiping any waterproof sheets) and floors
Wash window
Level Three
Sort through a clothing cupboard.. anything outgrown?
Put any discs back in cases and books back on shelves etc
Dust.. lightshades, curtain poles, games consoles/PC's etc
Extras- Make sure coats and shoes and uniforms are ready for school and homework is all done so you can relax the second week of holidays!
- Wipe any sticky handprints and dirty marks off walls and doors
- Wipe down the paintwork & radiators
- Clean out any pets!

Well, Mr. T done. DiL came with me which was nice. Though I think both her and the checkout assistant think I'm mad. I refused to let her help me pack because I have set bags for set things! I think we got there at the right time. It was getting very busy by the time we left.
And dear old Mr T is up to his tricks again. Lurpak butter was about 1.25 a bar a month ago. It then went up to 1.29. Today, it's back down to 1.25 with a 'price cut' sticker on it! I didn't buy any. I still have my personal butter mountain in the freezer.I am the leading lady in the movie of my life

Well my dear flying ladies, I am going to leave work early as it's dead here and fred says I can even though technically I'm in sales and he's in lettings. Have had only 3 calls all morning. Will just be my luck that the other branch will ring for me as soon as I leave and will find me out!
DH says the car is packed to the gills and he's practically revving the engine he's that eager to set off.
Hope everybody has a lovely Easter and I promise I will post on Tuesday xxTo love and be loved is the greatest happiness of existance - Sydney Smith0 -
nicki - is it you that has mice? Apparently wiping tea tree oil over the edges of cupboards keeps them out. If it does work, it might be worth you using tea-tree oil as a general disinfectant.
I've unloaded the DW and put everything away, then reloaded the DW. I'm finally warming up... that's the problem with not having a shower straight after the gym, I get cold. Now I've got a mountain of cake tins to wash. I've decided that I need to clear up the utility room to make room for the washing etc, so I'm going to start there and work inwards and upwards. Hopefully it won't be quite as big a job as it seems at the moment!0
