Oh, and I must get the chicken out now - am going to do Salmon a-la-Soappie because it sounded so nice, but with chicken instead of salmon as I don't like fish... ;)

You'll need to cook the chicken a bit longer than the salmon if you're to kill off all the salmonella bugs. Bung the chicken pieces in a bit of foil with a half a glass of white wine, butter on top and taragon if you have it. Or, if you're using chicken breasts, slice them in half lengthways (like butterfly chickent) and they'll cook quicker.

I had better get off my backside and shower so that we can go out. Will first have to swill out the two bins that are soaking in the bath with cleaning stuff in at the moment. I'm heading over to my friends after lunch to give her the post from her house in wales where we stayed so I'll see you all later this aft when I will hopefully be able to cross a few more bits off and get some stars.

Also want to make a start on the job app this aft....i think I just need to brain dump all the stuff that's been whizzing around my head onto some paper as a starting point.

Well, Mr. T done. DiL came with me which was nice. Though I think both her and the checkout assistant think I'm mad. I refused to let her help me pack because I have set bags for set things! I think we got there at the right time. It was getting very busy by the time we left.

And dear old Mr T is up to his tricks again. Lurpak butter was about 1.25 a bar a month ago. It then went up to 1.29. Today, it's back down to 1.25 with a 'price cut' sticker on it! I didn't buy any. I still have my personal butter mountain in the freezer.

  • Well my dear flying ladies, I am going to leave work early as it's dead here and fred says I can even though technically I'm in sales and he's in lettings. Have had only 3 calls all morning. Will just be my luck that the other branch will ring for me as soon as I leave and will find me out!

DH says the car is packed to the gills and he's practically revving the engine he's that eager to set off.

Hope everybody has a lovely Easter and I promise I will post on Tuesday xx

nicki - is it you that has mice? Apparently wiping tea tree oil over the edges of cupboards keeps them out. If it does work, it might be worth you using tea-tree oil as a general disinfectant.

I've unloaded the DW and put everything away, then reloaded the DW. I'm finally warming up... that's the problem with not having a shower straight after the gym, I get cold. Now I've got a mountain of cake tins to wash. I've decided that I need to clear up the utility room to make room for the washing etc, so I'm going to start there and work inwards and upwards. Hopefully it won't be quite as big a job as it seems at the moment!
