Mate
I like the card - maybe that is the new look of them, with a logo too......
Also, that to me is a pre guarantee - their marketing dept but 'good risk customers' and they get pre-approved so if your mate got no nasties i'd say its guaranteed but do the postal one and deliberately send a bank statement or credit card statement and then they will accepy him.......
Dont do it online unless he got perfect credit cos my mate got a skycard version and applied via short form and within a week had the card and £8k limit - he has one default (3 years old) and a basic bank account......
beat THAT!
I was amazed but he shoed me on his credit file and he aint bull shattin me either - still amazed!2010 - year of the troll

How can having a card help you out of 2 ccj's mate? There is a process to follow and also, general utilities cannot add a ccj as you never had a contract for credit in the first place..... they may threaten it but I guarantee i'd get it removed within the hour!
Do you mean that the card allowed you to pay the debt?2010 - year of the troll

Yea but social housing can't add a CCJ for anything other than debt owing on rent or council tax. You're missing my point, severn trent cannot isue a ccj (well they can) but it'd be bonkers cos it would cost more to enforce than most debts (assuming under £500).... do you follow me? Most would write it off.
Yea ok if they did put a ccj on your file, it would have to show under court info - not credit agreements as it is utilities.
as it would register under court data, you could have this section hidden from lenders with NOC and counterclaim for damages from the utilities.
make sense?2010 - year of the troll
