Hello everyone, so glad the forum is back:j:j:j

((((((((((((((((((((((((((HUGS)))))))))))))))))))) if you need one and congratulations to Katie.

The moves goes on pace, apart from the two wardrobes the bedroom is empty as is the bathroom, half the kitchen is in one place and half in the other. We have been sleeping at the house since Thursday night.

I rang sky yesterday as we had heard nothing about the telephone and broadband, to cut a long story short the stupid chuffs had not done the order for either,:mad: so we are without a phone and bradband until the end of this month. The sevice get swuitched off here on Wednesday:eek::eek:, I have ended up getting a mobile broadband dongle, we have all our bills etc on line, cannot check the bank etc, so its cost me a £15 a month subscription to stay on line. Sky did give me the phone line free for 6 months which is the equivilent of £60, but I am still foaming at the mouth.

DD1 was to come yesterday to take the wall units down for us. I had a text message from her yetserday afternoon, she fell in the garden and broke her ankle!!!:eek: Brilliant. SIL is coming this afterrnoon to try and see if he can get them down.

More cleaning at the house, the bathroom has had a massive deep clean and we have found more things to go on the snag list. I am trying to get the black mould off the sealant on the end of the bath near the shower, I put the shower hed in a container of vinegar to clean it and have left the tap over the washbasin with a vinegar soaked cloth wrapped roud it, might have to resort to a plaggy bag taped round it tonight.

My sewing room is coming on all the fabric etc is over there but I now need time to sort it out. There is a book case to go over that is to go in as well, books etc to stand on it.

We are over at the apartment just now to cook supper, pack stuff in the car and wait for SIL to come and try to get the cupboards off......... I am moving the microwave and breadmaker as well this afternoon.

The oven at the house needs a really good clean........not going to use it until I have had the chance to give it a good going over, hence the combi mocrowave going, I can cook in that or use the remoska.

Its a lovely day, I have just put wasing in the laundry over here, I am going to dry it, although it would be great to have it on the line......do not weant wet washing hanging about until tomorrow.

Tomorrows job is to clear the attic..........that should be interesting!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Afternoon all
Nice to see everyone is back. We've spent the weekend in the garden, the lodger loves it out there & flops on the grass as near to us as possible.
Congrats to Katie, good to hear you are feeling ok WS.
    Have a good afternoon.

    Hello everyone!

It was weird without MSE, I just didn't know what to do with myself. I'm so glad it's back.

I've been wasting time worrying about tomorrow's meeting. I think that I'm not going to get this job after all so have been applying here there and everywhere for something else. I'd love to just get into bed and hibernate for about three years.

My friend's husband made an out of the blue announcement that he needs to "find himself" and is therefore leaving her. I wonder if he has looked up his own rear end? He's being a selfish self-centred idiot, and doesn't seem to care a jot about the devestation he is causing. He hasn't even pretended to try and address the issues he has (or thinks he has) and is instead running away. I'm spending as much time as I can with her, but I know I can't mend the hurt that he is causing.

The bloke across the street is cleaning his OH's car inside and - he's doing a very thorough job of it and he's making me feel guilty. The git:rotfl: She works nights but I've just spotted her peeking out the bedroom window at him.

The house - OMG what am I like??? I clean and tidy it then blink once and it's back to square one. Drives me mad. Even if MSE were to shut down forever I know I'd still not be living in a tidy house for any length of time.

Congratulations to Katie on your engagement! You must be so happy.

Pawpurrs, I hope you're not coming down with anything.

    Bye for now all.

    Snowy
  • Yay we're back on :)

Had a VERY VERY VERY busy weekend. Spring cleaned my kitchen, living room, bathroom and cupboards.

Tonight I am going to treat my wonderful OH to a feast.

Homemade naan bread, chutney, onion bahji.

Main will be chick pea dahl, garlic prawns in cream and a vegetable curry with basmai rice :)

And mango and coconut kulfi for afters :) Wish me luck as have never made any of this before!

Hi everyone it's good to be back :D I've noticed the thanks button has moved I went to thank SisterCas & ended up going to quote her instead :rotfl:

Been very busy & productive whilst the forum has been down :o The house is gleaming, garden tidied, ironing done  and homework already been supervised! Hope that everyone else has had a good weekend. I was talking to Nic1lou2 on Facebook :wave:so at least we had a bit of Old Style to keep us going although we both missed the smileys ;)

Chicken went in to roast half an hour ago. I'm doing it with roast pots, carrots, peas, brocolli, stuffing & gravy at approx 5.30pm. I'm starving already even though lunch was only 3 hours ago!

Off for a look see round the forums now to see if anything has changed. It does seem quicker I have to say although I did a defrag & deleted all temporary files & cookies this morning so it could be that?

Edited to add congratulations to Katie1980 xxxxx

Thank you everyone, I dont think there will be much reaction other than about bloody time to be honest, it has not sunk in yet but I am sure it will do soon enough.. I am thinking about next year for a wedding.
I am looking forward to telling my best friend and organising the bridesmaids, although I think my colours might have to be rethought.
