  • Thanks Mark. Much appreciated. Did you get your bonuses as well or was it just interest?
    Louise
  • It was payments made to date, plus interest...no bonuses. To be honest I was just happy to get my payments back after reading the other horror stories on here ann the seemingly poor performace of my policy.
  • Hi Everyone,

First time posting on this forum after searching Google for advice on
Axa Sun Life Cashbuilder plus policies.

I had not received anything from Axa for over a year and so decided
to search the interent for some info on the Cashbuilder Plus plan I
took out some 8 years ago... that search led me here!

I cannot believe my discovery, I feel kinda stupid as I thought my
investment although small was like money in the bank. :o

I knew nothing of this £500,000 fine from the FSA and was most
definitely one of the mugs drawn into Axa by the famous celebrity
    ads back in 2002/2003.

Anyway after reading through this forum I phoned them and have
    received the following figures...

    #1 Paid In - £1,660 Settlement Figure = £1,625
    #2 Paid In - £2,840 Settlement Figure = £2,839
    #3 Paid In - £1,420 Settlement Figure = £1,398

These figures include the so called bonuses which I have received
    since the policies began.

It looks like I am losing out on all bonuses for the 8 years and not
even getting back what I've paid in. :(

I have my surrender request forms here. Should I request the FSA
ruling? What should I do? If there is a copy of a letter that could
benefit me, can I get a copy please?

    Thanks,

    Rob
  • Got my value today. Full refund + interest. However, they took off money for a so called " refund already received" . Anyone else had this?

    Hello
I do hope someone is reading this thread still - I took out a cashbuilder plus in Mar 1999 and was horrified to read this thread. I am going to phone right now to cash it in. Thank you for the help. I hope i am doing the right thing.

    hi

I've just come across this post after googling AXA.... i took the plan out in 2002 and am thinking of cashing it in early (need the money towards a deposit for house). would someone be able to send me the template too! thanks
  • I took out the policy within the full refund dates & have already written to AXA & had a response within 2 days that they would look into my case. That was 2 weeks ago now & was wondering if someone could send me the successful template they used to get a full refund in order that I can send ANOTHER letter.

If you could send it to jgfenn@hotmail.co.uk it would be much appreciated & I'll keep you all inform with any progress.

  • :cool:Hi,
I have been paying £6.00 a month for 13 years into the above policy and it is due to mature 30.07.2013. Can I cash it in early and is it worth anything?

    Thanks,

    Jim.
