Does anyone remember how much the new Panasonic SD 256 or SD257 breadmakers are?...
I was in last Friday, but only glanced at them, cos last Friday,my breadmaker was still working...Now its NOT!
im kicking myself that i didnt buy the Kenwood BM450 when they had it the other month for £72.
last time I looked at the breadmakers (a couple of months ago) they only had the 257 in stock & it was £110+ £105 at that time

I was kicking myself when I saw the Kenwood as I'd just bought one for £90-ish :o
  • Thanks Swan...Amazon now have the Kenwood for £92(i think)..its £129 in Argos,but due a price change on 12th October.(hopefully a price drop)
I think il hang off until i see the kemwood 450 at a more reasonable price(Dixons once had it at £80)...from what i remember my lot thought the panasonic bread was "cakey"....was hoping the new models had a fan element...even my wee Rachel Allen one has this feature...I think thats why the bread tastes more oven like and why my lot prefer it...would be happy if Argos could even just replace it.but it doesnt seem to be in stock anymore.
    Slimming World..Wk1,..STS,..Wk2,..-2LB,..Wk3,..-3.5lb,..Wk4,..-2.5,..Wk5,..-1/2lb,Wk6,..STS,..Wk7,..-1lb.
Week 10,total weightloss is now 13.5lbs Week 11 STSweek 14(I think)..-2, total loss now 1 stone exactly
    GOT TO TARGET..1/2lb under now weigh 10st 6.5(lost 1st 3.5lbs)

    hi coooking-mama,
I've used both the Panny 255 & the Kenwood 450 & have to say I think the Kenwood's streets ahead, tbh I think Panasonic's recent 'upgrade' was pretty poor

keep an eye on Amazon too, they've had it as low as £80 too
if you go to the top of this page & click on the 'shopping' link, I think there's an Amazon price checker in there, it'll alert you by e-mail if the price falls below the level you set

back OT ;) ... you never know, Costco might have them at that bargain price again
hope you get one soon :)

EDIT ... just noticed in my diary (while looking for something else) that the Panny was actually £105 during the first week in June, sorry, I must have been imagining the higher price :o

What is the strong washing powder in Costco that costs about £16 and does something like 400 washes ? Somebody on the OS forum mentioned it. Is this Kirkland make ? What's it like?

COSTCO BARGAIN ALERT! Bought Sony Blu-ray DVD Player BDPS370B which is in the coupon book until the end of tomorrow. Coupon book states "£30 OFF Sony Blu-ray DVD Player BDPS370B (£117.49 inc VAT)" BUT when it went through the till today it said £99.99 (not £129.99) yet the till still took off £30! So I got it for £82.24 plus VAT!!! Not sure if it was just Lakeside store or if it was an error thats been corrected for tomorrow but it's def worth checking out tomorrow before the current the coupon book ends.

IF it went through the till at £99.99 (and not £129.99) AND THEN took off £30 - wouldn't it have been £69.99 plus VAT ?

Kirkland Institutional Laundry Detergent in a white oblong plastic bucket with blue lid. They claim over 400 washes! I only know that it lasts a long, long time:D I find it very good but always add washing soda as they recommend it on OS for removing grease and keeping your machine scale free. HTH :)
