I used to go to Makro regularly, mainly to stock my freezer with things like sirloin steak etc. when it was on offer. I never had poor quality food.

Last time I went I got rib eye steak which looked lovely but was actually horrible. It went a dull grey colour when cooked and boot leather would've been less tough. I ended up having to slow cook what was left in the oven and even then it was almost inedible. The dogs got the last bit as nobody else would eat it.

    I haven't been back since...!!

There are nowhere near as many costcos as Makros so some of us don't have the option.
I do buy muffin tins in Makro as they seem reasonably priced in there, as was a big pack of streaky bacon (I think 1.5kg) for £4.49.

Going to costco tonight... How sad is it that I look forward to it! But I haven't been since the post about the muffins, and I HAVE to try them :rotfl:

I'm off to Costco Edinburgh in a bit - I always look forward to it too - but it's tough - I'm on a diet and it's hard to resist all the yummy things :( :rotfl:

We live quite a way from Costco and stock up with Muffins when we go.

Wrapped individually it clingfilm and stored in the freezer they keep very well.

(30 secs on high in the microwave and they are perfect)
I used to be indecisive but now I am not sure.
