I've just joined up with Costco so am interested to see whether it's going to be "worth it" or not. I hope others find these "stats" useful. Obviously prices may change as time goes on, and for all I know the prices are different in each store. I shopped at Reading and the date was 21/2/2010
    ...snip...
I went to Reading Costco, so other people's experiences may vary. Overall I think it's going to be worth it!
IIRC Weezl (Queen of frugality on the OS board) worked out that if you buy the whole milk from costco and water it down to be semi-skimmed she saved more than the yearly membership over 12mths:)

Did you treat yourself to "costco buffet"? (aka going when it's samples time and tasting everything :D)

I don't do the "Costco buffet" but if you go when they open (weekdays in Glasgow certainly) just as you enter, then to the left they have free tea and coffee and platters of their huge muffins quartered. It's always very popular and very welcome :)

Again, that's only for us trade members, not for the peasants or plebians (as they refer to themselves in this thread)...

I'm not a trade member, just a personal membership (I'm a bog standard plebian). Seems they aren't too fussy who they let in when they open the doors in Glasgow :D

Likewise in Birmingham, we dont have trade membership yet get their selection of cake/muffins/croissants/squash/tea/coffee if we go in 10-12pm - I think its on all 7 days, I remember asking the lady serving!
