The downside of their tempting cakes and pies is that they are still mainly using hydrogenated oil (modified palm oil). This is considered bad for our digestive systems. Food labels do show if hydrogenated oil is used but.. the printing is so small it is a challenge to read it, so some don't bother.0

did you know that costco will take anything back within 3 years without a receipt???? My friend told me this and i had a microwavethat was 18months old that had a boken number panel on it. i took it in, said it was broken, and bobs your uncle cash in hand!! I recently took my camera back which had lost a button and they did say that the policy on electric items was due to change and you would only have 95 days from now on.0

Been a menvber for many years and keep an eye on the specials. they post a burchure with them on to home so you can time your visits to suit.
the meat is excellent quallity with v large chicken breasts about 20 to container but they supply pastic back too divide up in twos for the freezer.
the Tv and white goods are great if caught when on offer but the best thing is if they go faulty. often 2-5 years guarantee and no questions asked (even without reciept as all on their computer) for full refund. as models change they don't tend to replace but get full dosh back (in cash often). then you go round the front and buy a better/bigger one.
would recommend Costco in your careful
hope this helps

there are things they don't take back after a some time and that's telephones. noticed it a few month back when we looked at new ones.
people have been taken advantage off it and they had to change the rules.
I buy the cheaper cuts of chicken, like drumsticks, boneless legs as they come in at 4 pound a pack. nearly 2 kilos/4 pounds.
My kids are fruit monsters and go through tonnes of it. We buy lots of grapes, berries etc.
books come in cheap.
pitta breads come in bulk and very reasonable.
you have to know the supermarket prices before you find yourself out of pocket.0 -
Hi! just had to join in this one about Costco.
I've been a member for years now. Fantastic service and guarantees.
Try the optical dept. I saved a fortune on my varifocals which are transitions and ultra light. I get so many compliments about them - Designer wear at Costco savings!
Keep your eye on the price tickets - stuff gets reduced when down to the last pallet and there are bargains to be had regularly.
Best buy? Spit roasted chicken- best in the world and largest I have ever bought anywhere! Tastes delicious and for £3.99 it feeds loads! On offer with £1 off right now!

You can use your card in Canada too! We got a good deal on Ski lift passes in Calgary Costco. $15 saving on each lift pass
Have been a member for a good few years now and have bought everything from washing powder to diamond ring (25th Aniversary pressie).
Once went to buy Navman the week it was on was on offer. Middle of the week and they had sold out! They took my name and phone number as they said they were getting more in because of the offer and that it would be a better model at the same price! It was too!0 -
Levi 501 are £40, but are £60-80 on the high street! Save the membership price in one product!0

Can I suggest that folk look at https://www.costco.co.uk for their warranty and returns policy. There's a lot of confusing info being posted.
We used to buy the fresh chicken which is about £6.55 per kilo, we took home the big pack and froze the breasts individually (they're large breasts). We've now started buying the bags of frozen chicken breast instead. They're £4.77 kilo and the breasts are already frozen individually. It's british chicken and the colour and firmness of the breasts when defrosted suggests to me it's good quality (little or no water added) and very fresh when frozen. Again the frozen breasts are quite large.0 -

I haven't tried lending anyone my card. They do check the id, but I haven't noticed them looking particularly closely. The picture is not that clear, so someone might get away with it if they paid cash. You can take in a non-member friend, but they can't pay by debit card. I usually pay and settle up later.0 -
I went to Watford Costco yesterday. (Monday 4th May) Didn't see any offers on. I think the offer booklet has now finished and there were beds, washers and dryers on offer in recent weeks. I have recently purchased a new washing machine from there and it was not on offer but still about £120 cheaper than elsewhere. They seem to do the offers more frequently now so keep an eye out.
Been in Costco today, curent offers end 10th May so no doubt a new set of vouchers will be out next week.0
