  • Happy Friday!

Thick fog here but sun is meant to burn through by lunchtime; fingers crossed.
Well I didn't want to come in to w*rk this morn;) OH wanted me to take day off on the sly but checked my emails before i decided and saw that my boss, who is away, had sent me stuff to do. gutted. ah well only here 'til 4.30pm then Magners and rugby with OH and my folks:j Got long weekend next week due to Easter shutdown to look forward to:D

Was so glad to have OH back yesterday, he arrived in the door 10mins after me and I nearly hugged him to death!Lol He is doing some packing up today, moving boxes should arrive there at some point.
Found a great website www.eco-boxes.co.uk you can order gently used double walled moving boxes which come with eco bubble wrap and tape, Free next day delivery. The boxes are proper moving boxes which the bottoms won't fall out of! Best thing is if you don't want to keep them after you move they will pick them up free of charge! Perhaps not so OS but better than plastic I thought:rolleyes:
    P.s i don't work for this website!

Anyway OS has gone out the window apart from slow cooker chilli on for the tea later.

Have a super weekend everybody; thanks again for all the kind chat yesterday:A

Glad your FRO fortnight has been so enjoyable, hope that they've all started to appreciate you a lot more! xx
Thanks :T and no they haven't  But that's OK, if they don't appreciate me then I can't possibly appreciate them either :D So my new attitude is F 'E :D

Oh and my latest Eon bill says they're refunding £40 and putting the DD down by £22 per month. I'm the one who's swept instead of vacuumed, hand-washed instead of using the machine, etc. so obviously this money is my wages and it'll be going straight in my pocket :D

    I'm off to make a quiche :D

  • Very grey and overcast here and freezing cold:rolleyes:

Just about to get a date and banana loaf in the oven and also make some uns and some choc chip cookies ( DS request).
Spag bol and HM garlic bread for tea so that to make too.....DS will be having pancakes as it is Friday which is pancake day;)
I also want to get the house tidied through if poss:rolleyes:
I want to sit down at some point this afternoon with a coffee and hot cross bun and read my Good Food mag:D
I am also going to look on the net to see if anything is going on around here over easter hols so that I can get DS out if needed......it is hard to find things he can deal with but I like to have some things up my sleeve;)
Am feeling in a better mood today, it was just all getting on top of me yesterday.
Had a complicated chat with DS yesterday about why the potatoes on school dinners still had their "coats "on...lol
He does come out with some funnies sometimes bless him....he says things as he sees them.......his best was last year in the summer, the lady next door and her mate who are both rather chunky were in the garden, DS goes out and in a very loud voice says "ooooh good they are both there, the two fat girls!" he is blissfully unaware it was rude. Also due to the autism he takes things at their literal meaning which leads to some confusion.

well better get off here and get some work done.
Hugs to all who need them
Smokey have a wonderful time with the kids on your hols.....you all deserve it so much:D

Its very misty here today dry though so thats a bonus.

Washing is out, dont think it will dry much, but at least it will smell lovely and fresh.

Lunch will be soup as its a bit cold today, and beef for Dinner with all the trimmings :D

Beth - just wanted to say I think you are being a fantastic support to your dd, I'm sure that just having you to talk to, and your support in negotiating with her creditors, that she will start to feel that things are much more manageable.

NPM - I have two good friends who have children with autism, one is fairly severe and the other not quite so, both their lives are so different from mine, but I know that they both appreciate just being able to talk about their sons without others making unhelpful comments, and we are all here to listen to you xx

Just seen your post above, bless him, my ds's friend has aspergers and used to be notorious for stating people were fat or smelly or whatever! He also used to take things literally, I can remember him looking at me and being really puzzled when he was about 7 and I accused him of pulling my leg lol! He has gradually learnt that sometimes you can't say things, but it has been a struggle for him. I am so grateful that the schools locally are so good and encourage all the children to support each other, as he is a fantastic lad and as all the children have had to learn how to deal with him (though he did miss middle school and attend a specialist school, the aim being to put him back in mainstream education for his gcse's) since he was small, nobody takes too much notice or gets too offended if he does say something that is better left unsaid!

My friend's sons attend local events organised through support groups or their schools, I don't know if there's anything like that near you? Hope you find some nice things to plan that work out well for you all xx

    Good morning everyone,

I'm later on than usual as I've been doing my Friday morning pet care routine ;) I've brushed the dog & cats, changed the kids gerbils and done a water & filter change on the fish. Amazing how all these pets are referred to as 'family pets' when no one apart from me does anything for them :rotfl:

A busy afternoon as DH, DS1 & DS2 are moving the shed out of the back garden and putting it at the side of the house then putting up the trampoline :T I'll have lots of kids in over the holidays no doubt but it's great excercise for them all & it tires all 3 boys out quickly :p so they don't moan about being bored. Lunch will be sandwiches and dinner this evening is pasta bake I think. I'll be making it whilst the men are doing their bit in the garden.

I hope that everyone has a good weekend even though we'll all be lost without the forums  There's going to be a lot of clean houses, gardens tidied, ironing done & things getting up to date I think :D

((((((((((((((((((((((hugs))))))))))))))))))))))))))))) to all that need them.

Lovely sunny day here at present but allegedly rain is on its way from the west!

Collecting both grandsons to-day....DGS 2 at 11.45 and DGS1 at 12.00 six miles away, so no room for dillydallying!

Just OH and me here for weekend, so meals will be simple...we might even go out for dinner one day.

Full line of clothes to take in and sort before rain, better not forget as would be mad if they got wet again.

Have a lovely weekend everybody, Smoky hope that you get somewhere suitable....bit more organisation and you could have come here....no beach but countryside might be enough.

    Hugs to all

    See you Monday

    Morning :hello:
    .

I finally watched it. I know I'm the last person in the world to watch it, but I watched it last night. Mamma Mia. Oh dear, pure cheese. What a waste of 2 hours.

    .

Nope that will be me. Nothing like that appeals to me even thpough I love Julie W. Also haven't seen a lot of chick movies eg My big fat greek wedding- oh how dull a fat greek woman marries a fat man , Pretty Woman - hooker gets her claws into a old mans pay packet.Ghost - girl cant get over her dead fella.. I have to say I don't see what a lot of people see in them. I don't really do dating and romance movies.I can't get interested in other peoples relationships.

Well have quite a bit to do today Need to hopefully phone my footy club to complain yet again about the woman who sits behind me before I need to call them on Monday about how she was at tomorrows game:mad: That is if the phone is working as we have this silly cordless one and sometimes it rings but won't let you answer it then it goes on answerphone but ppl wont leave a message.

Then I need to call Virgin as we have analogue cable and they have apparently taken a lot of channels from us. Practically the only thing left we watch on there is ScifFi and now it's apparently not on there so we might cancel cable even tho It means we will not be able to recieve any pictures for any channel. We live in flats and the company ran out of money before they got to our street so we can't get digital. We also can't have sky cos we cant get planning permission for discs etc. Without cable or something we can't get normal channels - something to do with the signal or soething I don't know.We dont watch much tv as are trying to cut down and save money on leccy but it is nice to at least have the option.

I will miss the boards at the weekend. However I am planning to cut down on this also as I am getting rather fed up with the fact that whenever I venture away I tend to get castigated. I am very sad that it seems in life that other people are beginning to make me a worse person. Ie in that my experiences with them make me more determined not to be as nice. Just as my experiences with friends etc have made me decide never to let anyone close to me again, my experiences here on this board and others have made me feel as if I should no longer bother caring for my fellow human beings.I cannot get over the resentment from one poster towards the fact that I cared for a stranger Oser and was concerned for their welfare.I have always been a very kind caring and generous person and I really do feel like stopping this and that I am a fool to be this way. putting everyone else first I thought was a GOOD thing.
