Flatmate and her boyfriend will be losing your share of the rent, so they are likely not to be happy.

Definitely do it! Life is too short to waste being treated badly by people who should know better.
I worked in a clothes shop for about 10 months when I was 18, my manager was the most awful, vile woman. I once had an allergic reaction to an insect bite and had to be rushed to hospital from work, and as I was being carried out she shouted 'I hope you're back in an hour as we have no cover for lunch!' Seriously, some people!
I walked out in the end. I worked with my best friend and she came with me. If you feel bad about leaving people behind, just think of it like this. If they are true friends, they will keep in touch whether you work together or not. If they hold a grudge because you walked out, then they're not true friends at all and not worth your time.
Good luck!0 -

I would feel sick too, But just put that all behind you, look what you have got to look forward to. The company cant do anything to you. They will easily replace you with so many people looking for jobs. It will be their loss not yours! Go out and do some shopping to take your mind off it and switch your computer on at the end of the day to check your emails!!0
