New A+L inernet banking

I'm just flabbergasted they are still using IIS and classic ASP as the backend. It's the least secure architecture available for a web application. I have managed to produce various error pages, which would make very interesting reading for a determined hacker
Needless to say, I am moving away from A&L as soon as I can. They should have completely redeveloped their site in something much more 'enterprise-level', rather than adding pointless eye-candy (which screws up on Firefox) and a hollow 'extra security feature'. They come up with bs excuses when asked why all my direct debits cannot be seen, and then when I call them for a list of all my direct debits they, get this, want £10 off me for doing it!!! Honestly!!!
A&L, you should be ashamed of yourselves.0 -
OMG - My PC must be jinxed coz I have no probs with A & L sign in. it messed up my Egg money manager but Egg sorted it out after 24 hours and the probs were A&L end not EMM. what version of FF are you using those of you who are having probs using FF & A&L?
If you want unsecure - why can't Egg Money Manager be used in anything else than IE I keep emailing them coz I wanna use Firefox (well insecure - check out https://www.stopie.com if you don't believe me)just in case you need to know:

Egg Money Manager is IE only because it uses ActiveX - in other words, unless they completely recode it it will never work in Firefox.
What do the banks who allow their security to be bypassed by Egg have to say with regards claiming compensation if unauthorised activities take place in any of your accounts as a result of their security being compromised by you allowing Egg to have your login details?0 -
Hmm good question mean streak
Since I only use my own PC to log in, Always delete the cookies and history etc. and never leave my home PC logged in to anywhere (even here). I have to type in my passwords everytime I log in as I neveer get them remembered!
Oh and I've been informed that my PC is hacker proof - I have very dodgy mates.
I dunno what the banks would say about unauthorised activity via EMM maybe EMM would have to sort it out?just in case you need to know:

I worried about this but soon got over it as EMM is very useful for seeing all my accounts at a glance (I believe First Direct and other similar services are available). Egg offer you a guarantee when using EMM:

AnonWe guarantee to repay any money taken from any of your Egg accounts or other bank accounts aggregated via Egg Money Manager if:
- The cause is an error by our staff or our systems.
- The fraud or security breach is caused by Egg, an Egg company or one of our Linked Suppliers. Linked Supplier means a person or company which provides additional benefits or services to you under an arrangement with us.
- The fraud or security breach is caused by a third party service provider which is not a Linked Supplier, or your use of that service.
- The fraud or security breach is the result of you entering your Egg accounts details into any other service other than directly onto the Egg secure log in page.
- You've acted fraudulently, without reasonable care or have not met the security requirements in the terms and conditions which apply to your Egg account(s).

Actually you can send secure messages, but they can't reply. Very useful.0
