New A+L inernet banking

Hi All,
The new A&L Internet Banking site is lanched today!
When you log in the first time, it'll ask you to think of a phrase and from then on, you should only type in your Internet Banking PIN when that phase is on screen AND they are displaying a particular image, which you'll also be given when you choose your phrase. A bit unusual I suppose, but it will hopefully reduced scams were people type in their PIN on other sites. Easiest way to understand is to try it!
Also, it tries to identify your PC so that it knows it is you next time you log in. If you are logging in from a different PC it asks an extra security question, must be from the set of answers when you registered for internet banking, possibly ages ago!
Only reason I know about the extra bit is when I logged in again it didn't recognise this as the same PC (despite it being so, and using Opera both times!), so it asked me. Should hopefully be an improvement on the previous system!
Cheers

I logged in today and it give me a randomly generated image and I maked a passphrase for the image. So I clicked OK and waited for 3 mins until the screen went blank.
So I go back into it, put my customer ID in and it says it doesn't recognise my computer (apparently the new security compares details of your computer you normally log in with).
It asks for my place of birth. Now when I originally set-up internet banking it didn't ask for a place of birth, just a memorable place. My memorable place is different from my place of birth but I tried both and neither worked.0 -
A load of new hassle. All i want is just to to view my account detailsI owe £3233 @ 0%0

I am disappointed it still doesn't allow you to maintain (ie. add/modify and deleted) and address book for payments. Every time I pay my self employed NI I have to create a brand new payee as the customer reference number is always different and it can't be edited

Yep,
Tried to get in this morning, got as far as the picture/phrase thing then it hung for ages before giving me an error number & asking me to phone helpdesk. Did that & woman said "oh yes, there's lots of problems with it, just try again later". Helpful.
Have just tried again & all seems fine now. Teething troubles I guess.0 -
It is very slow indeed. The paperwork that arrived a few days ago advertising the new style said that we wouldn't have to input the 12 digit customer number anymore. I still do have to and wait for ages for each page to load. I hope they sort it soon.0

I guess I picked a bad day to try A&L internet banking for the first time! It took the best part of 3 weeks for my PIN to arrive after opening an account in branch, and now the website is about as responsive!
Presumably the changes mean it won't work with egg money manager until egg tweak it? I tried adding it to my EMM earlier and it couldn't fetch the account details.Cider Country Solar PV generator: 3.7kWp Enfinity system on unshaded SE (-36deg azimuth) & 45deg roof0 -
