I think if people are phoning them up to speak to them about it then if they weren't aware of the loophole - they sure are now!

I did 3000 and 7000 transfers on different dates earning £100 cashback. All was well on the next statement and £100 showed 'earnt this period'. My latest statement now shows "£-70 earnt this period". Not sure how they worked this out but they definately must have cottoned on. I'm not contacting them to complain they'll take even more away probably.

    £70 down.

Oh well it was good while it lasted. Edit: I was reading on the stoozing forum that Egg closed this loophole on May 21st. Seeing as the £3K was before this date and not corrected and the £7 was after this date and was corrected, my experience tallies with this. Its looking definate.

Just to let you all know - i did a bacs transfer to a currents acct from egg money and got a mail saying they did a balance transfer. that has not accrued cashback in my latest statement. but i also transfered an amount to egg savings and that has earned cashback. of course they may take it away from statement when the time comes - but anyway good for now:-)

can anyone let me know if you can transfer cash out of egg savings to another current account. then i wouldn't have lost cash back on that :-((

I've just noticed my cash back has been reduced this month due to a balance transfer I did a few months back.

They're clawing back an amount every month from me now.
It looks like they're gradually going back in time through transactions. Bu66er.
Apparently I'm 10 years old on MSE. Happy birthday to me...etc

Still sitting tight on my £200, and doing the occasional spending.

Have just got my 3rd 0% for £15K from Lloyds Plat and will be channeling this through Egg Money shortly, so will be interesting to see if that rocks the boat.

Yes, £14.8K 0%, no fee for 6 months.

However, which way to send it next? It's with Egg Money as of today but as I've already reached my full £200 cashback from Egg,

    (a) do I still route it via Egg Savings and then on to Sainsburys Internet Saver, or will this rock the boat, as they might decide to start clawing back some of the £200 I already have (so using this route is not going to make me any more money) or

    (b) send it straight from Egg Money to Sainsburys, or is this not possible?

Don't want to get it wrong and arouse their suspicions.

    Mary,

    a) No way!...that's just asking for trouble. Many stoozers have reported losing existing cashback by doing Money=>Savings transfers. I lost £2.5K myself doing exactly this, but fortunately they re-imbursed me the following statement. Others haven't been so lucky.

    b) I wouldn't recommend this either. I've done 4 BT's to Egg Money recently (shifting balances from both credit cards and current accounts) and every time Egg have rung me to verify the transactions. Sending the money to a savings account is just asking for trouble IMHO.

So, what would I do? I'd BT from a current account that you've BT'd from before...and preferably the one your DD collects from. Of all the BT's I've done, I've never had a call from Egg for a BT from my DD current account. I'd also do the transfer in two sub-£10K tranches.
