well maybe i wont have him fully trained in the 3 weeks, hes already paper trained the seller said. if he does pee and poo on the carpets ill clean them. only new furniture in my house is in the living room so will keep that closed when were out, shouldnt be a problem. we have no kids so not worried about that, but he has been raised in a household with children anyway. anyway i like a challenge lol.0

No offence OP but if you need to ask what to ask the Breeder & what to look out for i'm wondering if this is your first Dog? Of course, it's good you are asking please don't get me wrong, but a Pup really isn't great for a first Dog & the cross in question could have the best or worst of each breed. Will you be going to regular (Weekly) training classes as all Pups need to go & you can accidentally teach them undesirable habits without realising.
You'll need to be ready to take Pup out to the garden every hour & to get up through the night, it may well take much longer than 3 weeks. He'll need vaccinating @ 8 & 10 weeks & won't be allowed to go out until 1 week after they're both done, so 11 weeks, however it's vital you take him everywhere, just carried, no paws on the floor!
I could go on but i'm hoping you'll have already done the research into both breeds in depth & also into looking after a new Pup. Good luck whatever you do & the DT list looks great!0

not the boisterous one that comes running over immediatly, not the shy sweet one that sits in the corner looking all glum, any of the others will do0

its had all vacinations for week 8 already, hes comming up to 9 weeks old. i definatly will be going to dog classes with my partner. im prepared to get up all hrs of the day to care for him too. i have researched both breads online, also what to ask when i arrive but just wanted any extra info not available, from owners on here. this will be our 1st dog, but we come from families that have dogs and cats so were not completly new to this. were both young and active people too so atleast 2 walks a day when hes older.0

We had our collie housetrained 95% in the first three weeks bar the odd time we didnt take the hint early enough, however he couldnt wait the 4 -5 hours that your pup will be home alone to go to the loo outside. It was very gradual and a fair few months until he was going through the night puddle or pile free.
It is not only the housetraining to consider but the distruction that can come with a puppy looking for something to entertain itself with (and teething that will kick in after you go back to work).
I was a first time dog dog owner and did tons of research but it was still hard work. Please really consider it as when people were doing what I thought was trying to put me off they were only telling the truth as they are doing now with you maybe.
Why not consider a rescue? A year or so old dog might be perfect - housetrained and you can get an idea of personality before you commit.
I must end by saying that my dog is the best thing in the world and most of my world now revolves around him! Good luck with whatever you decided.0

Just consider it very carefully, for the pups sake - the dog shelters and pounds are full of bouncy pups aged 6 months to a year old, many of whom will be put to sleep sadly, because they proved too much of a challenge in the end. I think the idea of a challenge can wear thin once your carpets stink, the neighbous are complaning about the noise, and many valuable items have been chewed and destroyed.
There have been so many threads on here from people wanting a new pup then coming on a few months later saying the pup is untrainable, has destroyed furniture, kitchen units etc, the neighbours are complaining to the council about the noise etc etc...
With a tricky mix like beagle x boxer, plus working, these scanarios are far more likely than they would be for this pup in a different home with someone at home all day, or for an older steady dog living with you.
It may be a challenge for you, but if you fail, ultimately the dog will pay the price.
(and 5 1/2 hours is far too long to leave a young pup, sorry!)0
