That is absolutely gorgeous, although on the slightly expensive side for me.

Well I am getting excited again, we are going to the venue on Thursday to go through all the arrangements and pay the deposit. I think it will all become real then.

  • Hi there everyone. Today's task is to find a flowergirl dress for my DD who will be 2 when we get married. All I want is a simple dress possibly with loads of tulle/net on the skirt and a plain body, sleeveless if poss. Any ideas? Was hoping to spend less than £40 on it. I have seen one on the next website which is very cute and is £37.95 incl delivery, anyone seen any for less than this? Thanks, Tiger x

debs have some nice tigerlilly ones aswell made me chuckle why i was looking just then they start at £35
  • Well I am so excited now. I went to the venue yesterday and paid the deposit, it is definitely all systems go now. It is so funny how handing over money has made it all the more real. Also it is only 239 days until the wedding, which when put like that does not seem long at all.

After debating some more about my dress, I think I am going to order from Milly now. I like the way you get pics through as they are making the dress up, whereas with Landy you have to wait. Also, the email Milly have sent me this morning is so much more detaied than Landy's, it even includes a list of all the materials to go into my dress including the weight of the satin. That has impressed me to be honest. The quote for my dress is $300 which works out at £205, not bad at all and I am having crystals over the bodice. This is the dress I have decided on now.

I think I quite like the colour it is in the picture, what colour would you say it is? I think it suits this colour better than white.

  • Can anyone suggest an Ebay seller or online shop that sells ties. We are having normal ties not cravats and I am a bit stuck at the £10 mark at the mo. I did see a seller on ebay doing them for about £3.50 but I can't find them anymore now!! Tiger x

Beautiful dress Tiger! I've got the Ivory and Light Champagne Milly fabric swatches and I think it maight look closer to the light champagne although it's very difficult to tell.

It would look nice in either but if your undecided then you can order the fabric swatches from Milly for $0.99 each and she posts them out for free. They took about 2 weeks to arrive.

Are you going to have the long veil as well?

  • Hi Nat thanks for the advice on the fabric. I don't want the veil, but am now undecided whether I should have a small tiara, fascinator like the one in the seond picture or a diamante hair comb. Is the Ivory from Milly very creamy in colour? I think I want wither the colour in the pic or a colour close to white but not as bright as white. Totally unsure now lol!!
