Love your bridesmaid dresses, really elegant! Is that the colour your opting for, its gorgeous!

Thanks Violetta, it's not a problem at all. I'm pleased you are getting there with them. I have managed to get the prototype sorted with the favour box, but once again i hvae changed my mind lol. Myself and H2B took a holiday last year in the lakes and it was wonderful, I have remembered that the Grasmere gingerbread shop do favours. With us living next door to the Lakes we thought it might be a nice idea to do these for the favours. When we were on holiday we brought gingerbread back for everyone presents, so just thought it would be a lovely sentimental touch. They do them mail order aswell if anyone is interested. If we do this option it is the £1.30 ones and they come in a box aswell which will again save money, yay!!

HI there Rinroo, thanks for the comment about the dresses. We are going to get them in the colour as close as possible that Milly do. They have assured me it will be very close, but as long as it's burgundy it will be fine. For the price of them you can't get any better. All I need to do now is get hold of the bridesmaids to get their measurements so I can order them. Although one of my bridesmaids fluctuates in weight all the time so will probably need to get her dress altered.

Just a though anyone ordering from Milly the lead time they have given me is 75 days as they are really busy at the mo.

Love the favours Tiger! Thanks for the update!

I've just emailed Milly some pictures for prices for 2 dresses I like (hoping to try them on 2nd May if the stockist has them) and also for a flowergirls dress for my daughter. Already chosen my bridemaids dresses that Milly have on their website already which work out at £50 each. Fab! Landy do the 2 dresses if Milly can't.

Tiger, I know this is a bit of a late post as I see you have your flowers done for your bridesmaids but it may help others! I got married in November and my bridesmaids dresses were on to your colour (maybe a little darker) and intead of flowers my ladies had cream muffs for their hands! Very cheap to do, bought the fur (fake of course!) n stitched them up! I also had a fur bolero type jacket. Everyone commented on them as they really set of the dark dresses and were perfect for winter, plus my ladies said they were fab for tissues etc!

Hi everyone, well I must say I have had a very productive day today. I ended up going to town this afternoon and couldn't resist nipping to Debenhams for a look at flowergirl dresses. Well, I am so pleased I did because I have bought my DD the most beautiful dress that is absolutely perfect and the best bit is it was reducued to £33 from £55, hoorah. It is ivory satin with a net overlay on the skirt and the bodice is ivory with net aswell only it is fixed down and not as noticeable. The sash around the middle is ivory satin with beautiful crystals of varying sizes and there are silver sequins on the net of the skirt. It is so pretty and very elegant. The sash comes to a bow at the back which is pretied, which is fab as we won't have to spend all day redoing it. It is from the Star by Julien Mcdonald range. They had loads of other pretty dresses on sale aswell, most of which aren't online. Definitely worth a look.

I also ended up in the haberdashery and found burgundy and ivory buttonholes for 99p. H2B is going to have a burgundy and ivory double buttonhole and the rest of the men plain burgundy. I bought some more diamante pins and have started outting them together but will finish them tomorrow.

I am now off to see if there are any bargains to be had on Ebay!!! it's really exciting now things are coming together a bit more now and it is still well within budget, yay!!

Sparky, I love the idea of the fur muffs and I am definitely thinking about the fur bolero for the bridesmaids, they will be beautiful.

Nat you are going to try dresses on my birthday s I hope you have a lovely day aswell, lol! Milly should get back to you pretty soon, I have always had an email waiting the next morning.

Hi everyone. Today's job is to sort the table decorations. I have ordered these from Ebay



They come in packs of 500, although I think the selleer does them in other quantities, and should be here in 2 days. They cost £7.20 including postage, which seems really good. I am going to put them in the centre of the tables with these crystals scattered with them.



The crystals are £6.99 including postage for 1000, which will definitely be enough. Then I am going to put one pillar candle in the centre with clear glass votive candles, 3 I think, with them.

Thanks Nat. Are Milly able to do your dresses, have you got a pic I would love to see them! Have they given you good price? I am so excited about my dress, although I can't order until the beginning of May the wait is killing me lol!! xx

They can do both dresses! They sent me pictures of this one but its coming in at £55 more expensive than Landy. The other one I liked is coming in about £10 dearer. If I go for the 2nd one then I'd just go with Milly as I'm getting my bridemaids and flower girl dress from there. They going to do my flower girls dress for £35! I email you the pics if you want? Just PM me your email address. I can't order til the end of the year! I'll burst by then with the excitement!

Wow, that dress is gorgeous. Nat I will pm you now with my email if you don't mind sending the pics? I guess it comes down to which dress you like better and of course cost. I think I will order from Landy now, although I have emailed them to see if they can send pics of at least the pattern before making it. I think I am going to burst aswell and I only have to wait til next month lol!! How do people get through the time while it is being made lol!!

Well my fascinator and my petals have arrived this morning and they gorgeous. The fascinator looks so expensive and it was only £4 including postage, if anyone wants the seller let me know.

The petals are absolutely perfect, they look so real and came beautifully packaged. A total bargain. I ordered 500 and they will definitely be enough for 5 tables and the buffet table. The seller was polysgems

I will try to post some pics later today of my buttonholes, improved bridesmaid flowers, flowergirl dress and my fascinator. Hoorah, the excitement is building everytime I receive another thing lol!! Tiger xx
