I think I am going to order a bunch of white roses for the bridesmaids, £6.50, and make their bouquets myself. That's a saving of £14. But, I'm still stuck on the second posy from Sarah's flowers for myself so I might order that one, at least it is cheaper than the first one lol!
Thanks for all the tips, keep them coming!
Have rang the medical centre as I can't find enough id to take to the registrar. They are sending my medical card out in the next couple of days so then when it comes I will book the appointment to do the notices. At least you have 6 weeks to do it, but will book for next week.
The photgrapher that I love txt me this morning to see if I wanted her to post me sample pics from a wedding she did at the weekend. I thought that was kind of nice for her to do that, although still not sure about the photographer as it will be £650. We haven't put it in the budget and I'm only having it if family contribute to the wedding, although we don't expect them to and haven't asked. HTB thinks they will, but will have to wait and see.

Wow what a wonderful thread! Congratulations!!!! Gosh you have it all planned, must be so AWESOME!!!
I am also contemplating burgundy! I was thinking burgundy, ivory, white(silver), crystals. Or as alternative ivory-white-gold. (maybe a few burgundy accents though...LOL)(I will see if i can trick guest into wearing white/light colours....lol
I want to make butterfies and flowers of crystal beads(acrylic if i have to) AND a
=====================>>>>>CRYSTAL TREEEEEEE! I am mad about the idea.
I want to make one myself and hang on it some white cristmas lights and strings of acrylic beads and maybe white/silver/ivory butterflies on fishing line. Of course i will be using acrylic beads.
Oooh oooh I love your idea of diamante pins in the pillar candles, I love pillar candles! Is it the floral pins that you are using? (mmm I wonder if they only use them in silk flowers or also in fresh ones???)
I was thinking of getting those sugarcraft silicone moulds from ebay and making butterflies of craft non-bake clay, and painting them glittery colours.
Best of luck and thank you for starting this thread, it is very isnpiring!
PS just stumbled over this nice site, one can dig for DIY moneysaving ideas!!

Hi there Rainforest, when are you getting married? Is it Christmas time like us? I just think the crystals and burgundy go so well together, and as girl's gotta love loads of sparkle. I did originally want pink and crystals but my friend is getting married Christmas 2010 and she is having pink for her theme, so with most people going to be at both the weddings I didn't want it to be the same.
I love your butterfly and crystal tree idea, they both sound beautiful.
I got the pins from the local craft shop, I think they are the floral ones, and they look so good, they were only 15p a pin!!!I will post pics later today to show some of the things I have already made. I have tried to make the bridesmaids fascinators, so will post pics of those aswell. As soon as I can work out how to do it lol!!
Thankyou for your wishes of luck, and I really hope some people get some great ideas from this thread, including myself, as moneysaving weddings can be great!! Tiger x

Hi everyone, I am going to be spending the day making the invitations as the blanks have been delivered hoorah. I can honestly say I would definitely recommend them. The blanks are ivory and pre scored for easy folding. the card is really thick and the envelopes are included aswell. They cost £3.49 for 50 A6 cards and envelopes, the postage was £1.99 second class. Great value really, if anyone wants the seller shop details let me know. I have also bought inserts, ivory hammered paper, which looks really professional and will go through the printer easily.
Here's a link to our venue aswell if anyone is interested

Nooo we dont have a date set yet, cos of financial difficulties, which makes me worried as I would prefer to at least secure the venue! I just keep on telling myself that OUR venue will wait for us... We might be getting married in the heat of summer... sometime in 2010 so I have time (umf the wedding is supposed to take place in South Africa, as most relatives of my H2B live there, so summer means february march... still a high tourist season, so I have to be booking around NOW to secure a venue, my sister-in-law-to-be had to delay her wedding twice because the venue got booked out!!)
But what can I do if im in love with crystals and burgundy? LOLLOLOL (I was thinking pink too, it looks fabulous, i just want to be different i guess). I am totally in love with that bouquet you posted link to, the burgundy/ivory one, good compromise since i cant decide if i want it to be burgundy or ivory...LOL I think it would look fab if the bridesmaids wearing burgundy and have ivory/white posies and the bride has burgundy bouquet...
You ar not having a church ceremony, are you? I think I will have one... dont even want to think of cost of flowers for the church...LOL
Please DO post your pictures! I love the crafty stuff!
I absolutely LOVE this dress! For myself i want a big puffy skirt, but this one would be second on my list, it has such romantic neckline!!!:T :T :T
PS after staring at that dress for some more, i think it is THE most romantic dress I have ever seen!0 -

Well, I have just been to Tesco's and bought some double sided sticky tape and I'm going to get on with sticking the photos to the front of the cards. I have taken a few photos of what I have made already but still haven't a clue how I post them on here, lol!! Any help would be gratefully received.
I really want that dress now as it just seems perfect and I am going to order it next month, as this month I have to pay deposits and for the wedding notices.
