  • Morning all :D

Sun is shining here, DS has been happily playing in back garden for about 1/2 hour now haha can hear him fighting monsters (power ranger stylee) as I type :rotfl:

Have washed one load in washing machine already - is out on line, another 2 planned in for today :D Dinner is in SC, changed meal plan slightly as nipped to Asda last night for bin bags and they were putting the 'whoopsie' items out, grabbed 4 peppered steaks for £1.97 and some cubed irish lamb for £1.44 :D So rather than sausage casserole tonight, we are having Irish stew :j

Man came out from Britsh Gas yesterday to fix heating and hot water (not had any since weekend), he got it up and running again but an hour after he had gone, it switched itself off again and refuses to come back on  They are coming back this pm to fix so have to stay in for that.

Anyways, gotta get on with tidying :D Have a great day all, (((hugs))) to those who need em.

I was just copying what everyone else said. :p You never know it could be his birthday as well. :D

The pie was quite nice. Edible drowned in custard. :D I'm not all that keen on pumpkin pie either. Think I"ll stick to savoury dishes in future. Just got home from a lovely walk. The moon & stars are shining really bright and clear tonight.
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia. ;)

Diva I don't make my own bread but I don't get Kingsmill as I find it tastes stale to me. Sorry I would have sent you the tokens. I am a huge Wallace & Gromit fan myself but wouldn't get to collect enough to actually get something as we only use a loaf a fortnight or so.

Long day today. Out to Tescos for some veg and a chicken breast to use up Mr S sweet & sour souce as it is on the kitchen floor and we need to declutter as the council may be coming soon as we have had trouble with water coming in through the ceiling. Our flat is privately owned but the building and some of the flats are council. The one above is private landlord and we have complained to him about it but he never does anything and is contactable only by email which he never answers or phone which is always turned off.

WM to go on later and looking forward to the other half of the tin of Mr T value spaghetti on toast for lunch. Also have to jobsearch which always gets me down as it is becoming rather pointless even looking.

    Hope everyone is fine.

Hi everyone, haven't read thru the thread yet, as am at work but just needed to come on here and left off some STEAM!

Firstly OS wise its leftovers for tea tonight, and I s&s the kitchen, got a load of washing out on the line all before coming to workj this morning. WM is on again and the clothes will get put out again when I pop home at lunchtime.

Right letting off STEAM now..... Tin hats on everyone mind the falling debris!

DS1 is in final year of school and he has left all his GCSE coursework until the last minute. I've nagged and nagged him to get on and do it but like the typical teenager he thinks its all under control. He is off school today as he was ill during the night, he's just rung me at work to say his teacher has phoned him and said if his coursework isn't in by today he will fail this particular course (DT). Well I let off some steam at him, and told him to et his finger out and do it and then go in this afternoon and hand it in. I keep using myself and DH as a reminder of what life will be like if he doesn't put the effort in and he says he donesn't want to be hard up like us etc etc but it still doesn't seem to be enough to get him to do anything. I've taken away his xbox, and tv and pc but as he shares a roon with his younger brother i can't do this for long as there is nowhere else in the house to set these up for DS2 to play on. I am fuming away here, I know teenagers are hardwork, but this is soul destroying - I get so frustrated with him it leaves me in tears.

Right thanks for reading if you've got this far! I'd better get on with some work.

Hope everyone else is having a lovely day today....or at least a bit better day than I'm having!

Buy your bananas in bunches of 5 on Sunday. Then arrange them in order of ripeness and write a day of the week on each banana in felt pen, Monday on the ripest, Friday on the greenest to save time making those decisions on a hectic weekday morning

    Hi All

Just having a catch up with the threads. Hope you are all well.

Had quite a few OS days, house is looking better than ever. Ok granted not perfect but its probably the best its going to get! Lol Made Tinks Hob Nobs on sunday whilst dinner was in oven, DH loves them and everytime he goes into the kitchen cant resist one! Lol

Have been stressing out slightly over the past week, Im late. Which under normal circumstances would be fantasic but considering the meds I am taking and our current situation with my arthritis I cant help but think that it could be one great big disaster. I know the only way to find out one way or the other is to do a test but I cant bring myself to do it. Ohhhhhh how do I get myself into these situations.................actually dont answer that one! Lol

    Hope you are all well

Ruthibe73 Big hugs to you hun teenagers are bl**dy hard work especially when it comes to gcse's. My DD was similar to this and did eventually get all her course work in on time and managed to get 7 A*-C grades. I ended up frazzled, tired, emotional & miserable with her though. Make your son do as much as he can today & hand in what's done its got to be better than handing none in. Check with school as well if they are sending letters home about it - we got them posted to the house so we'd see them instead of them going into the depths of the school bag or blazer. There were a few letters saying when exams were due to be taken & reminders for coursework deadlines that mysteriously disappeared

Don't tell your son but there is the November re-sits that he can do if all else fails. ((((((((((((((((((((((((hugs))))))))))))))))))))))))))) again xxx
