    so

You mean that you have the ACTUAL email in your inbox and when you click a link to open whichever page of MSE it is it fails?

I also have GOOGLE and GOOGLE ANALYTICS allowed?

No, I'm on Virgin broadband (which sucks) and I've not been getting Martin's e-mail for the last couple of months (or many other people's either, so I'm using my hotmail at the moment, but Martin doesn't know that)!

Anyway, I meant when I click on the e-mail at the top right corner of the MSE page. I've also got 'Google Analytics' allowed and I thought I had 'Google' allowed too (but now when I right click on the NoScript icon, it doesn't mention it's existence or provide the option to change it)!

When installing firefox you should have had the option to IMPORT your favs from internet explorer?

The GOOGLE TOOLBAR has a built in spell checker ~
    http://www.google.com/tools/firefox/toolbar/FT5/intl/en-GB/index.html

    NOSCRIPT
    https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/722

NOSCRIPT works by blocking ALL website scripts (Which is how dodgy websites infect your computer ~ the easiest way to catch a virus after downloading). So you need to UNLOCK all websites you use for them to work properly (Like this one for example)
It also prevents 'page hijacking' (clicking to goto a BANK page for example and being redirected to a BOGUS page which would give scammers your login details!)
I personally set it so that it DOESNT show messages about blocked scripts. Then all you need to do is use common sense. Think to yourself 'does the site work ok'? If so it doesnt need touching. But if you wanted to watch a video on youtube say, youd need to unlock parts of it. Look bottom right, If theres ANY red on the 'S' symbol, then something is being blocked.

(You will also need the other addons like FLASH etc)
    https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/browse/type:7

ADBLOCK PLUS is another very good firefox add on too, sorry cant post link as Im at work

    Thanks for your replies.

aliEnRIK - I've solved the problem thanks. I downloaded and saved flash player for Firefox yesterday afternoon, but it needed Firefox to be switched off in order to run. When I turned off my pc last night, this allowed me to run flash and now I can open Martin's e-mail.
