first bubba wasn't planned but we weren't exactly being careful - obviously :p
This one is planned tho
I don't think I'll get pregnant again but we have discussed fostering or adopting in the future - I love babies!!

    I was 20 with my first, then 21, 23 & 24.
Always said I would have anymore after I turned 25....then as I got close to 30 really wanted another but had a miscarriage so then decided no more after 30....but.....well watch this space.
I'm now 35 and 9 weeks pregnant, though, still at the keeping it quiet stage!

Well all of you lot have terrified me! I'm going back to uni in september and I'll be 28 when I graduate. I want to get a good few years in the workplace before I have a kiddywink. Figuring I'll be in early thirties, am I taking a gamble?

I admire that you wnat to get your life sorted first and get a good education. I wanted to graduate at 23, work for two years then have one baby then another at say at 28 and thats it. I dont regret having my daughter, but there is a lot of stuff I cant do now that I would have loved to do that wasnt in my orginal plan (like working with ophans in Africa for a few months). Plus everything is such a great big effort with a baby in tow!
Im not advocting young mums here, nor am I saying that older mums are wrong either; I just want to say though.. please remember that having babies older increases risks to baby and mum as the eggs decrease in quality. PLEASE as i say PLEASE dont take this to mean "older mums are thoughtless" or anything like that, im just stating the same as you would find anywhere on the net (including NHS stuff).

I had my first bub when I was 19, second at 21 and got married when I was 23. I'm now 28 and would really like to have one more child (before I turn 30 which I decided yrs ago would be the latest I'd leave it) but OH isn't keen so just the 2 it is for me.

I said that but have now turned 30 ( feb) and now thinking by 33 i would have liked to have had another ! lol

30 is still pretty young, and more and more women are having their first babies after 30 these days

My eldest will be old enough to babysit, by the time i have another ;) :rotfl:
  • Had my first when I was 23, second when I was 26. They are now 28 and 25 and I have a 2.5 year old grandaughter. Loved having them young and would do the same again.

34 with my first (I should have been 33 but she was 11 days late!) and 35 with my second. I definately didn't want children earlier even though DH have now been together 10 years and married for 6.

I could never imagine giving up our selfish lifestyle of fancy holidays, weekends away and dining out. But now I'm a Mummy I don't miss any of it. I adore my children :D but also had a wonderful time before parenthood.

    xx
  • I was 26 when I had my first, and will be 28 when num 2 arrives. I think I might like to have 1 more after this one, but will see how I feel when I have 2 under 2 to look after

I got married when I was 19, but that didn't work out, and got married again in December. I think in your teens is definitely too young to get married for most people.
