    Hi guys!hello.gif
    Morning all.

The birds got up at 4.15a.m. today.
I know this because I was there listening.
I swear every bird in Warwickshire descended upon my street and launched their very own Pop Idol competition.
Which is great if you're something like a blackbird.
    But sparrows can't sing.
    And neither can their offspring.
Throw into the mix the fact that all the birds had brought their new babies with them.
    And they can't sing either.
    Not even the baby blackbirds.
Add to this the fact that I finally went to bed about 1a.m. due to the sweltering heat...
Which is what made me open my bedroom windows wide
In the vain hope that I might catch what is probably the very last piece of the ozone layer and any stray passing breeze.
Now ol' Tiffers had gone to bed 'a la mode' as it were for the above reasons.
It's very hard to sleep in a heat wave, you see.
But there was no heatwave at 4.15a.m.
Because ''someone upstairs'' decided it would be funny to also subject me to waking up to a sudden 30 degree drop in temperature.
And could I find the ruddy duvet which I tossed off the bed at the weekend?
    No.
Finally, just for good measure, let's just throw in a couple of nightmares and a cracker of a headache.waiting.gif

So, to all the birds in Warwickshire, I dedicate today's cat piccie to you...sSc_scarednervous.gif

    Hello dear friends :hello:

I am sorry to read how down some of you are feeling - we are here to listen and support you <hugs>

Just a quickie before I dash off clipboarding...and just got email from DH announcing that he's arriving back from Shanghai tomorrow morning...oh ..would I pick him up from Gatwick? Then he's off to Cairo shortly ..new senior post lecturing at University of Egypt! Crikey..he doesn't hang around...don't think 'retirement' is in his vocabulary!

Just mentioned this to encourage those of you that feel it's too late to do anything with your life, you're too old etc etc. My DH is 57...and he is only now turning into an academic globe trotter.
Remember Col Saunders invented Kentucky Fried Chicken at the age of 84:D so you can do it..its not too late to make something of your life.

    Take care everyone <hugs> CB2X

Meera Syal: "A world of pain": a Documentary featuring Sophie Andrews (Chair of Samaritans):

    BBC2 Thursday 4th June 9pm

May I recommend this to you all? I know many of you have talked about self- harming...

"Meera Syal looks at the issue of SH in the UK, and asks: 'what is SH, who does it affect and why?' She meets people who've experienced SH including Sophie Andrews to try and answer qustions.
Sophie's story is how SH can provide a means of survival. Sophie talks about her unbearable childhood, her abusive father, and explains how SH enabled her to cope by offering emotional release and a sense of control which she believes saved her from suicide"

    What do you think?

Lovely to hear from friends old and new here
Have a good day everyone CB2X

Hi I just wanted to say thanks to everyone who was there for me last night :).

I went to the mental health unit at my local hospital and spoke to a lovely man who assured me that I would get well and enjoy life again.

He prescribed me Cipralex 20mg to take once a day, he said I might feel worse for a few days but then things should improve.

Thank god for this site because it really was a close call, thank you all very much and I hope you all yourselves feel well and happy xx.

I had a really bad pain in my chest and arm and thought I was having a heart attack.

Never felt any pain like that in any way before, but the GP can't find anything wrong and the pain has not returned  Scared the living daylights out of me as I need to stay alive for flatmate and cats.

No news about my medical yet either.

Hello to all, old and new :T

    hi all,
love hearts, well done for going to the hospital, hope you feel much better soon

miro, how scary for you to be in such pain, hope you dont suffer from it again

tiff, how are you hun, you sounded awfully tired

hi katie, keeping yourself busy and being surrounded by friends is a great idea, well done you.

i'm bit tired and stressed, too much on my mind at mo. daniel was in court yesterday, thought it would be sorted there and then, but it has been ajourned for three weeks, while solicitor gets hold of his medical records. worse case scenario is if he is found guilty,he could be given 2 years detention, or a large fine, for which i would be responsible for.
As i have already said previously, he did assault me, the police were called, both me and an ex friend gave statements, but she lied and said he attacked her and her children too, which he did not, he only attacked me. anyway i withdrew my statement, as i didnt want to press charges against him, but she does, and the cps believe they have a good chance of a conviction for attacking me too, especially as he has admitted hitting me in anger. the anger is part of his adhd, and while i know its wrong for him to hit me, at least i know he wouldnt ever take it out on anyone else.
sorry for long post,. just had to get it down, kind of helps

    hugs all

Hugs, Shaz. How stressful for you, especially to have it adjourned. Not good of your friend to lie like that. Why is she doing that?

Hope you are ok now, Miro, and that your pain doesn't return. I keep getting a shooting pain in my right arm and don't know if Ive pulled a muscle or what. I know what you mean about worrying about heart attacks though - if the pain was in my other arm I would be worried. At least the doctor didn't find anything so you know its not serious.

hi beachbeth, i would go get your arm checked by the gp if it still continues to hurt in a couple days.
think ex friend lying, so she can claim compensation, her and her hubby done it before with other people, but in the past i have always taken her side, cos i havent been present at other times, when dhe been involved in others. this time both my sons were present, daniel denies hitting her, and myself and joshua were present too, and we know he didnt either. she did try and help me restrain him, to which he swore and struggled to get away, but no way de he hit her.
