I just feel under pressure & completely confused about things. Don't know where to turn to be honest. I just seem to have assesment after assesment & little if no treatment or support.

Devil, i hope you are ok.
You post sums up the last 5yrs or so of GP visits for me, I really don't think some GPs take patients very seriously if there is nothing physical in their symptoms.
Have you done a self-referral to MIND if nobody else has actually sent a letter?
  • Thanks Ruby & Pirate.

I did manage to get to see my usual GP yesterday & tried to explain what's been going on with mental health services.

She said something along the lines of leave it with her & she'll contact them. Not sure what will happen, but haven't heard anything today.

So, at the moment, I feel totally out on a limb & still have no support in place. SH again today, I guess out of pure frustration more than anything.

My OH is not happy about the situation with MH services, but hasn't a clue what to do about it.

I kinda have yes. However was informed there's at least a 4 week waiting list for an assesment appointment.

i know but at least if the docs aren't actually getting thru, the soooner you contact them, the sooner your 4wks wait will be up and you'll actually be strating to get somewhere :)

I know the feeling regarding GP's. You go in with a bad chest and the first question comment is "You have depression, yes?"
  • My OH decided enough is enough the other day & demanded I get properly treated & taken seriously. He spent what seemed like hours on the telephone talking to various people involved in the mental health team.

Eventually, they referred me to the crisis team & I'm hopefully going to see a psychiatrist with a view to a meds review & re-diagnosis. I am hoping that this maybe the route to getting some proper help, however, will wait and see.

They have asked me to keep a mood diary & to also write down moods retrospectively, in order to try and get a good picture.

My OH has already started documenting things over the 10 yrs he has known me & stuff I have told him about past events. However, I am finding it hard to write things down on a daily basis.

What is the best & easiest way to keep a mood diary?

Messed Up, thank you for that link, I wish I'd been directed to it from my medical team!

Crisis team have only given me a personal diary type thing for the time being. Fairly useless, but I'm trying to fill it in. The mood chart looks like the best way to document how your feeling. If I don't get one from the mental health team, I'll print one of these out & use it to show them.

Long story short, i'm wanting to renew the contract on my current flat, but its such a state that if LL sees it like this i doubt he will re-let it and he's coming over wednesday so i have barely any time to do it all!

I need a kick up the behind :( Woke up and broke down pretty much immedietly so dragged myself over to day services where my support worker helped me make a list of everything that needs doing. Well i'm staring at the list and all i can think is i'm never going to get this done. _pale_ Flatmate works and never seems in the mood to tidy up when he gets back (despite me asking) so it all falls on me. I'm on here because i was getting to stressed and keep having bad images flash through my mind (like doing somthing stupid) so i'm trying to distract myself which isn't helping with the cleaning.

    HELP :(
