Devil, I don't really know what to advise as I have been so, so lucky with the help and support I have had. All I can offer is cyber hugs :(

Its an absolute disgrace that people have to beg for help. Utterly disgusting.

Yes I realised that, but the waiting is list is long and getting the referral from the mental health team was supposed to be urgent as I need the support now. Have been struggling on for too long and am pretty desperate for help.

I will check out the link. Do you know if they operate all over the country?

Rethink is a national organisation and operates all over the country. Pop your postcode in the box on this page to find rethink near you.http://www.rethink.org/

I'm pleased as I had already reduced it unofficially anyway. I'm on paediatric dose of risperedone (smallest dose possible) and Soduim Valporate. The Sodium Valporate was reduced.
is the risperedone for depression, i ask as both my sons have been on that drug for adhd
loves to knit and crochet for others

Risperedone is an antipsychotic or neuroleptice. Info on it, and other MH meds here

Feeling a bit rubbish today. Wondering if its the effects of halving these tablets. I am scared its going to be worse over the next couple of weeks. I wish I was normal to begin with and I wouldn't need to take these bloody things :(

Hi sorry you have had a bad day hope tomorrow is a better one.I think a lot of us whish we were "normal" but what is normal anyway. If you do get worse you can always go back to your gp and have a chat. There is no shame having to take medication i look at it as an inbalnce in my brain that medication puts right and choose medication over depression anyday.

Unfortunatly, they have nothing in my town. What they do have close by the town already offers.

Sorry you are still struggling Devil and Louise. Maybe a more gradual reduction is needed but do go to the GP and discuss, don't want to cross the boundaries of the board xxx
Here dead we lie because we did not choose
To live and shame the land from which we sprung.
Life, to be sure, is nothing much to lose,
But young men think it is,
    And we were young.
