You will, Miro, I just know that you will. Someone will see you for the kind, generous and loyal person that you are xx

I hope so. I'm not as sure as you are, but i'm willing to wait for the right person, rather than settle for the first person that comes along. I'm just very shy, which people are amazed with when they see me, as I don't look as if I would be shy (apparently)

Right now, we are all happy for you and Gilly. (post a pic of the cake ;) )

I should come in here more often. I lurk, but I can never get over the threshold.

I'm 27, diagnosed borderline (PD) and clinical depression, and some weird schozi-affective thing they haven't told me about (officially) yet.

Having a down day, so thought I'd nip in and say hello

 Welcome. Hope to have you posting with us regularly :T
Miroslav - my 2 cats are 13, I know my time with one of them will be limited, she has had 4 ops in last year for tumours and its now a matter of time as they've returned, as its not fair to put her through any more. While she is happy, eating and remains a total bundle of joy and life I'm happy, she acts more like a 3 year old. But when she shows any signs of be unwell then I will know the time will be right :(.

The other cat....hmm lets just say he is a limpet at times and a right mummys boy lol!

    hugs to all

    xx

You are right, it's only fair to not make any of our feline friends suffer, but give them the chance to live as long as they are happy. My Dopey was blind for the last two months and the last year she fluctuated in weight, but she was happy. When she went blind, she wasn't as happy, but that was in comparison to what she had been for the previous 15 years - the most happy go lucky creature ever. She was still probably happier than anyone else, just slower at getting around because of loss of sight.

My male is a daddy's boy. Can't spend a penny without him coming along for the journey :rotfl:

Not long now until first anniversary of losing Paws - Thursday and Friday are her days - both her and Chubby died one day and were cremated the next, so even though Dopey died and was cremated the same day, she'll get two days too when her anniversary comes, to make it fair.

I still talk to my lost girls (say goodnight a etc) so i'm a little mad, but in a good way.

Hopefully your cats will last a long time yet in good health.

    Hi everyone

It's been a few days since I posted (heavens that sounds like a confession :D). Things have got better at EM towers and hopefully bf and I have ironed out a few niggles and have a firm stepping to carry on with.

I hope things are getting better for everyone else. I'm waiting for work to get back to me about a restart date - funny a few months ago the idea of going to work sent me hiding under the duvet for the day.

I'm worried about Poppy though - she's not been left before.... :( But I have a lovely neighbour who can pop in and I have a friend who said she will walk her on the days I work. That will be 3 walks for her.... she can cope, she's a springer....

Love and huggs to all - hoping the sunshine is helping.... :)

    EM Xx

  • Hi everyone and welcome to the newbies!

EM, glad things are settling down for you, hope Poppy will be ok and that you will be too when you return to work.

Miroslav - Your boy sounds just like mine re coming into the toilet!! When either of us goes we now call him and tell him to pop in for a chat lol! Will be thinking of you over the next couple of days, think its lovely how much you still think and care for your beloved cats xx

sh - how was the counselling?

Today for me was ok, I'm hoping my last dark snap lifting again. Had some bits of good news today that helps. I've also been promised or threatened with my niece and nephew all day Saturday, OH is working so I'll have to cope with double trouble by myself!

Look after yourselves, hugs to those who need, especially you Miroslav.

Hi, I am a newbie to the site and thought I would introduce myself.

I suffer from mild depression and have been taking Fluoxetine since the birth of my four year old child. I am about to arrange counselling from where i work as they offer it. I think it will help to talk through my issues and stresses.

Agh! I hate those days where you feel good, then it gets to a certain point and you just feel the dread coming over you....

sh - how was the counselling?

    I didn't go. I haven't been that well lately.

These last 3 days really have been awful for me - my mood is absolutely terrible atm. Friend is refusing to speak to me - this isn't helping me at all.:(

I am tempted to go back to the doctors - I need something more than counselling.

:rotfl:Maybe you could put a seat in there for him :rotfl:His own throne :T

My lad is slowing down, so now I sometimes catch him half way up the stairs. He's not the spritely young thing he was, but he always has his late night mad 10 minutes, which he's having right now, attacking mid air etc.

I bought an ornament on eBay last night that was reasonably like Paws. I aim to buy something every year around the time of each cats passing to mark the occasion. The next two days are officially 'Paws days'. A nice big Tuna Sandwich in her honour each day for lunch is in order

Hello to the newcomers and hope everyone is well. Just a quick visit.
