    Feeling in turmoil

Trying to decide whether to go it alone but fear bullying from my mother and the outside world.

My OH has some faults that I hate and have written them on here but of course he has his good points.

I also don't know what to do about my son's cat as he lives in a flat.

Buying a house isn't an option, unless he works.

CCstar - sometimes listening to your gut instinct helps. At the end of the day, you need to be selfish sometimes and put your needs and your happiness first. If you think you could be a stronger person being on your own then go for it. Ignore your mother, you are a strong person in your own right and anyone that is a bully is often the more miserable and weak willed one.
Just wondering about your sons cat also, sorry Ive not read your previous posts. Does your sons lease not allow him pets?

Hi all, and welcome to the thread Ian.

Had a bit of a crappy week, few health problems and a lot of family stuff going on as well, sorry I haven't been much support to you all.

I'm in the middle of making quiche, what we'll have with it though is another matter.

Hope everyone has a good evening ~ Alison x

No, he lives in a flat on the 11th floor with an open balcony, no pets allowed

I totally agree. Be selfish and think of yourself instead of listening to your mum. It is true about bullies being weak willed and she won't be happy unless she has got you feeling completely miserable, I bet. Rise above it and let any remarks she makes go over your head as though she is talking to someone else and not you.

I think you know in your own heart that its time for you to take action, CCStar. Be positive and take it one step at a time.

You are right, I have PM'd you. How do I overcome the fears I have?

Sorry I'm not responding much to other posts just now, I have very little resources just now.

    (((Big hugs to everyone here)))

Sorry you are feeling low Twinklebelly. I understand how you are feeling. Horrible to be crying and, of course, other people want to know why. There isn't always a reason though - its just how depression hits. Look after yourself and be kind to yourself - sometimes we are too hard on ourselves.QUOTE]

    Sums it perfectly for me.

I woke this morning and stared and stared at my tablets and painkillers, wasn't good thoughts. A good friend text and told them that I was fearful of work but also didn't want to be alone and couldn't decide. So they decided I should go to work.

Well went to work, didn't push myself and was able to talk to my two closest friends who know what is going on. Was good to see them, one understands fully as currently suffering themselves. Did me good I think to face my fears and go in. However somebody who does know why I was off asked me if I was feeling better - er hello, depression doesn't disappear overnight. Then said oh you are smiling and look happy so you must be better. So I said yes but you can't see the tears behind the eyes and the hurt behind the smile and still inside. Not sure they liked it but just annoyed me.

Sazbo - I'll ask if my GP can re refer me, I may be able to get more counselling through work. I know occ health can get involved but bit anxious about that. Guess would depend if I go sick for longer.

I slept ok, thankfully I haven't been getting nausea with the new tablets, headaches have gone too so perhaps these could be the right ones. Do feel very drained though which didn't have before.

My BF is working all weekend so again concerned about being alone. Depending on how feel may have niece and nephew for a bit, my family all live close, including my mum, but she doesn't know the full extent and at times I struggle with her - yes she has been the subject of a counselling session about how she makes me feel, puts me down, belittles etc. Its just her way but doesn't help how I feel. I cope in small doses with her.

Oh and I didn't cry today.

Sorry for the ramble in no particular order....sure you'll get use to it!
