All the above to the other posters

Glad to see you are recovering from your ex - it will be OK in the long run and you will be relieved you have removed him from your lives.

I know what you mean, CCStar. I wouldn't have got married at such an early age if things had been nicer at home. My mum is, however, much nicer now than she used to be. I think she is mellowing with age (plus she no longer drinks which helps a lot!). I can still remember things she did and said as I was growing up though and am still hurt by it.

Feel free to pm me. I am going offline for a while now though so don't think Im ignoring you if I don't reply straight away. Ive got some sort of cold and feel dreadful. Im hoping a lie down for an hour will revive me because Im doing roast chicken for tea and I need to walk the dogs. Just hope it isn't raining by the time I get up.:(

I wonder if my mother's health makes her the way she is?

I hope your chicken was good and the rain held off. Perhaps you could make a soup from the carcass which is supposed to be good for colds.

Me too! I hate crying in front of people. Feel so stupid. Im sure most doctors are used to it and take it in their stride. I always wear waterproof mascara because when I yawn my eyes really water anyway!

I usually throw the carcass away and feel really guilty about it. Its just such a lot of work adding in all those vegetable and simmering for hours. The stock that is produced is fantastic though and I have made some lovely soup in the past from it. I had a nap for an hour yesterday and it revived me enough to do the roast dinner. It was all very delicious and I even did homemade stuffing with gluten free ingredients and it was lovely! Ive put some aside in the freezer to have at easter with a cheap turkey we bought at Christmas. (So I am moneysaving sometimes!:p) I was too tired though to make stock from the carcass so it was thrown away again. It was raining too so the dogs didn't get their walk. I had already walked 3 of them in the morning, so it was just the other 3 that missed out. I shall take them today though.

Got a doctors appointment this afternoon because I think my anti-d's are making my diarrhoea worse. I wish I could just stop taking them but, of course, you have to do it gradually (especially the one Im on!).
