sandy, hope all goes well at the hospital.
gotta go back to see the gp this morning, i have a swollen lump thats painful, the last two weeks, i have taken 2 different lots anti biotics, but it hasnt shifted, so i'm off to see what they suggest this time

Welcome to the thread, alison. A lot of us have been there and done that. Alcohol has a lovely way of numbing things but then makes you feel worse. Resolve to not drink today and look forward to feeling better tomorrow. Thats what I do if Ive drank too much, which thankfully doesn't happen often now.0 -
Thank you all, I'm normally really good at hiding my depression, I try not to bring others down, but yesterday was one of those make or break days, hitting the bottle was the safest way to go, thankfully it is a rare occasion, but the alternative was far worse.

alison, i know that feeling too well, i used to SH, now i tend to drink alcohol to get thru the bad times.
ona positive note i managed an alcohol free night yesterdayenjoy life, we only get one chance at it:)0 -

Myabe giving giving him some space might be a idea? i know it must be really hard but i guess theres not a lot you can do atm to get him to talk.
