I don't know what to do. My OH, who has bipolar, is going through a real 'downer' at the moment. We've had a rough few months within our relationship for various reasons, and he's not sure whether he wants to continue with our relationship as he feels like he can't take the stress. I think he just wants to be single again. I love him to bits, and I know he still loves me, and this is tearing me apart. I've asked him not to make any rash decisions and to wait until he's feeling more on an even keel. But all I can do is sit back and wait until he makes his mind up.
Any pearls of wisdom from you lot?0 -
I haven't got any good advice Im afraid, Gemma, except to give him space and time.
Hope you are ok Sandy.
CCStar, I really think you need to get away from the people who bring you down, especially your mum. If you live further away from her then she can't do this to you so much. I have caller ID on my phone so that I don't have to talk to certain people if I don't feel up to it - it really helps.0 -
Hallo strangers
I've been gone about two months from MSE, the break did some good as there were certain people making things difficult (Not on this thread mind you - everyone here is lurvely).
So how is everybody doing? I hope things are getting better, or at least more managable.
For me quite a bit has changed, taking a break from MSE was a good move. There was a lot less stress and gave me time to focus on other things. I've started my OU courses and been on countless job interviews - though none have so far gotten me a job. Been seeking out old friends on facebook which has lead to long bouts of reminscing, and even better - quite a bit of laughing.
Have been taking daily exercise, iron supplements to stop becoming aneamic (which has always made my depression worse - is that odd?) and getting out at least once a day every day.
It's been bloody hard and there have still been setbacks, days where getting up seems impossible and others where I hate the world and close the blinds, turn the mirror to the wall and just hide. But these days are becoming less prevelant, I'm not out of the woods but I'm feeling more human now than I did when I began posting here.
So that's all been rather me-oriented, but I wanted to let you guys know because if it wasn't for you all I wouldn't have had the support to try. If it wasn't for all of you I'd have given up entirely and just felt like the only person in the world that felt that way. This place is a wonderful place for both posters and lurkers to feel like they aren't alone, you gave me the courage to fight when I truly didn't want to anymore.
Thank you.
I'll be lurking around, perhaps post every now and then, but when I don't please know that I'm wishing all of you the best. The "Bloodlust" Clique - Morally equal to all. Is there anywhere you can go for support CCStar? Im sure there are organisations out there that could help you to go alone. Perhaps if you rang the samaritans or CAB they could give you some helpful numbers. This is something you can do, you just need that help and support to do it. Best wishes. ((()))0

Hello Everyone
Haven't managed to get out of the house today and been on the computer a lot so feeling a bit crap!
Been posting on another thread about Mental Illness. It really is amazing how ignorant some people are and very disturbing too!!Here dead we lie because we did not choose
To live and shame the land from which we sprung.
Life, to be sure, is nothing much to lose,
But young men think it is,
And we were young.
