Hi Miro :hello: Good to hear from you hun. I hate to think that a dentist has done that to you tho grrrr  I can never remember how dental costs work - do you still have to contribute to costs even if you are on benefits? Can you work out a payment plan to help spread the cost? I sure that if you could have the work done it make a lot of difference. I know of other people who have had dental work done and it's given them back so much confidence. Hugs hun xxxx
Shaz enjoy your quieter day today. Ok I'll lay off the coffee after 2, I promise;):D
Sxxxx
No contributions on benefits, but they only do limited work. One of my teeth has snapped because my last dentist drilled it into a chip rather than provide a filling like he said he would, as he ran out of time  Before that, the crown I had fitted was fitted wrong and has caused me pain for 7 years, of which has been daily for about 4. No dentist will do anything about it, a couple have told me not to worry and seemed uninterested and another couple have promised to sort it, but then realise i'm on Income Support  The one who did try and help sadly was a stand in
I need alot done and it's going to cost thousandsI keep thinking of getting a job, living on as less as possible and saving the rest to get the work done privately, but my confidence is too shot.

Could you maybe have it done in stages, and spread the cost that way? At least then you'd feel you were making progress of some kind with it hun? Just my thoughts xxxx4 May 20100 -
hi miro, sorry to hear you are having so many problems with your teeth. where i live they do all the work required regardless of the fact i'm on income support. the fact that your in pain and they refuse to do anything is cause for concern, and i would report them

I asked and they were keen on all the money up front. It's a shoddy practice to be honesthi miro, sorry to hear you are having so many problems with your teeth. where i live they do all the work required regardless of the fact i'm on income support. the fact that your in pain and they refuse to do anything is cause for concern, and i would report them

Where would I report them? They are such a bad practice. It's the only NHS practice in town, so no other options0 -
hi miro, done a bit of googling for you, and PALS (patient advocasy and liason service) will help and support you in your complaint against the nhs trust http://www.patient.co.uk/showdoc/30/
hugs

Thanks shaz. Will they treat it as confidential? Whilst not worried what the dental practice will think of me, if I ever need treatment from them again, they may cause me accidental on purpose pain0

I hope his sister stays attached. The last thing she needs is someone like me, or any girl for that matter  I'm sure their are other people like me out there, but I really do feel like the ugliest, least important and likeable man alive
Miro! I'm going to shake you! I bet you have none of those qualities. I used to think much the same thing about myself, but then I hit 40 and became all stroppy and decided that I am damn great and look better than I did when I was youngerIf you want, I'll post a photo of myself so you can see that someone who used to think they were ugly isn't so bad. Now I'm no Helen of Troy but so what, I'm happy with the way I am, inside and out.

Bubbles - hope we can give you some support, the people here are great. It's normal to feel numb after hitting crisis point. Be kind to yourself - I think I detect a feeling of guilt that you are 'being a burden' to your family. Don't feel that way. Depression is something that you don't ask for, it isn't a sign of weakness, and you can't wish it away. Medication will help, just give it time to work. Have you been to a pain clinic?0
