    Hi

I am new to this thread. I tried to kill myself on thursday due to a lot of things, mainly due to chronic pain and have been diagnosed with depression. I was caught and sectioned and now am home with Crisis currently visitng. I feel like I have a huge void, everyone around me is relieved I failed but I dont feel anything. Is this normal? The crisis doctor is coming to see me tomorrow about medication to lift my mood. I had handed my resignation in at work as I didnt want to leave them in the lurch when I died..... I just dont know where to turn or how I should be feeling. I find it hard to talk to Crisis, they are all really nice but I just dont know how I feel so how can I tell them. My family are trying to be good but find it hard, my brothers cant even look at me and my dad keeps crying and I just dont know what to do. Does it get easier?

Welcome to the thread bubbles, sorry to hear you're having a tough time of it right now. Hopefully the meds will give you a bit of support so everything feels a bit easier to cope with. Maybe your family find it hard because they don't like to see you struggling? Do you have a friend you can talk things through with? Or perhaps you could discuss with your doctor getting referred for counselling? Take care hun and you are welcome to post here anytime, the folk who post here are very supportive - they've been a huge help to me in the past. We are not professionals of course, but can always listen and give out hugs if they are needed.

morning all, and welcome to the thread bubbles, i tried suicide in the past too, and at the time didnt feel any sense of reality, just numb like yourself, but it does get easier. can your gp change your meds for pain relief? give the anti d's a try they usually take a few weeks to have any really effect, in the meantime get plenty rest and take it easy, and remember we are all here for you. this thread has been a life saver to me in the past, and even tho things are a lot better in my life right now, i still use this thread for the support i need in difficult times, and class everyone on here as a friend

hi sazzy, rest of evening went ok yesterday, and now they both back at school :j. hope the coffee relieves your tiredness. i read somewhere that you shouldn't drink it after 2pm tho, as it can affect you going to sleep again.

    hugs all

Just a quick hello, which is hoping it finds everyone as well as can be this morning.

Still feeling low and still feeling pointless and hopeless. In pain physically and mentally. You get what you pay for and the mistakes of my dentist 7 years ago have ruined any confidence I may have had (and I cannot afford to repair the damage!) I think if I got my mouth sorted, i'd have alot more confidence and if I had a support of any sort away from here, i'd be able to maybe go out and work without the anxiety that cripples my life.

Hi Miro :hello: Good to hear from you hun. I hate to think that a dentist has done that to you tho grrrr  I can never remember how dental costs work - do you still have to contribute to costs even if you are on benefits? Can you work out a payment plan to help spread the cost? I sure that if you could have the work done it make a lot of difference. I know of other people who have had dental work done and it's given them back so much confidence. Hugs hun xxxx

Shaz enjoy your quieter day today. Ok I'll lay off the coffee after 2, I promise;):D

I haven't even thought about the wedding yet!:o Is that bad of me? People ask if we've set a date and I'm starting to feel bad that I haven't lol. Just want to enjoy this feeling for a while :) I think in general though I would like the wedding to be a very low key affair - I'm not a fan of large-scale events - I think I'm not really able to cope with them anyway, from a mental health perspective. And as for the honeymoon - we have a few ideas, but nothing definite yet :)

Yes, Badgie does indeed have a sister and she's really lovely too, but sadly not unattached :) I let you know if the situation changes tho ;):D xx

Glad your cat's doing ok too x

There is no rush ;) Low key sounds good and the honeymoon....i've heard Parliament Square has some cheap B&B's if you are all MSE ;) If not, I hope you have some nice ideas ;)

I hope his sister stays attached. The last thing she needs is someone like me, or any girl for that matter  I'm sure their are other people like me out there, but I really do feel like the ugliest, least important and likeable man alive

The cat is doing well. I'm still sad, she's not as happy go lucky as she was as she can't run to me anymore, just walk :o She's not unhappy, just not got the spring in her step :(
