  • Thankyou, we are very happy :). Maybe getting drunk is the answer.... we've been living together for a year now so it's looking a bit like one of us has a problem. However we'll give it another year before we start to worry I think.

Getting drunk also worked fantastically well for quite a few girls back at secondary school - so it may be the key :rotfl:

You could also read this - very interesting though kinda strange http://www.babycenter.com/404_can-taking-cough-syrup-help-me-conceive_1336322.bc

But I'm sure they have more sensible advice on that site.

No sense in worrying a year in, it takes plenty of couples longer than that for one reason or another - besides it just give you more time to practice :D

Cough syrup?? How strange! But I can see how it could work...........

morning all, no jeremy kyle this morn, but shall tape it this afternoon :p
been to see mental health nurse, who is pleased how i'm coping with the reduced meds, and has suggested cutting down again when i next see her in 6 weeks time.
only trouble i've had with cutting down has been really severe pmt, has anybody else found this?
also had to face job centre this morning, which i think was the reason i couldnt sleep well last night. anyway, they aren't putting pressure on me yet to go back to work, and i have to continue to go back every 3 months, which is a real pain, as i hate the place, but at least its done for today.
now time for knitting, i'm making a rather large christmas clown, at the moment which seems to be taking an age to complete, it has all xmassy clothes on like a sant, making it for a childrens charity, on behalf of loving hands

    hugs to all

Shaz, I get very bad PMT. If you don't suffer with it you can't really understand how awful it is and how it takes over your life. Since Ive been on the anti-d's I don't get it and its so great! I still get other symptoms such as being really down and being really tired and feeling as though my brain has turned to cotton wool but at least I don't want to kill people!!!

I honestly would continue taking anti-d's even if I didn't suffer with depression because they are the only thing to have worked with pmt. I tried all sorts of other treatments and supplements and nothing else worked.

Make sure you explain this to your nurse or doctor, Shaz, because they may think its better for you to continue taking your meds (unless the nurse is one of these lucky women who don't suffer with pmt and think therefore that it isn't as bad as people say)
  • As for TTC, getting drunk at a christmas party has worked for many of my friends :rotfl: No idea how that helped but they've got kids now :D

I think you are right Plushy - I have observed MANY heavily pregnant women around lately, and had concluded beds in Barcelona must have been bouncing around Christmas ...
  • Blush, that sucks :( hope it all gets sorted soon xx

hi beachbeth, i did mention it to the nurse, but she thinks taking herbal supplements will be better for the pmt, than the anti d's as we are trying for a baby, and the anti d's have more side effects.
have been and bought starflower oil capsules and agnus cactus from holland and barrett, will let you know how i get on

    Hi guys!hello.gif
Well I've been up since 4.15am for no other reason than my body refused to co-operate and allow me to sleep. It's amazing the things you notice - for example, it's very dark in the night time you know.sCo_blink.gif Not a bird sound to be heard yet. Actually that thought has occurred to me a few times over the last week or so; the little darlings really have been very quiet round here of late, which is most unusual.confused-smiley-013.gif So anyhoo, I may be a grouchy Tiff later unless I can fit in the mother of all catnaps.sleep-050.gif This hasn't been helped by the fact that there was no double top in the fridge and I can't remember where I hid my catnip!sCo_blink2.gif

Bearing in mind the last couple of posts on the thread yesterday, I thought shaz and beth and the other 500 of us, might appreciate this...

    Hi guys!hello.gif
Just in case you needed reminding...

10 REASONS WHY CATS ARE BETTER THAN MEN
    3littlekitties.gif
    1. A cat always comes in SOBER after being out all night.
    2. When a cat goes to the toilet it tries not to leave a trace.
    3. You can put a bell around a cat’s neck so you know exactly where he is.
    4. If you stroke a cat, it won’t leap on you for sex.
    5. You don’t mind that much if a cat brings a bird home every night.
    6. When a cat comes in at midnight it doesn’t wake you up by smashing into every item of furniture.
    7. Cats never pretend they know how to fix the video.
    8. Cats don’t care what size your boobs are.
    9. Cats still love you even when your perm goes wrong.
    10. Cats love rubbing up to your legs however much cellulite you have.

    :D;)
