Hi All
What a day! I've been on the other side of Birmingham, shopping all morning with DD1 (who's off school today and tomorrow, ) She needed new clothes. We got the most gorgeous purple hoody in H&M - it was a boys one, but so much nicer than the girls' ones.
Then DD1 had a review meeting at school, which went well. Then we whizzed over to the other side of Birmingham to my Dad's for lunch with some family I haven't seen for 30years!!!!!!
It went well, and was lovely to see them. We're going to be seeing them when we go down to Devon this weekend. Very exciting family stuff!
Flying.... nada. The house is in uproar!!!! It probably needs an hour downstairs and four hours upstairs BAH!!!!
Tomorrow is going to be spent packing. :j :j :j can't wait for my holiday :j I really really need this. SO I hope it's better than the last one! Having learnt from last problems, we will be taking a blow up bed!!!
Ok, going to go and do the kitchen. So I'm in with you TootsMMSSB Club Founder Member

Fork it!!!! I give up! Why is it, no matter what, I am always the one in the wrong.
DP was going to go and stay at his cousins tonight, but now he's not because I am in a bad mood because he hasnt done what he said he would.... and I come home from a full day of course and school run etc.... to find him and his mate playing some football game on the PS3 instead of digging out the garden ready to lay the decking and everthing else he has planned. I wouldnt care, but I dont even want my garden gravellled or barked..... I quite like grass thank you very much!!!
He gets these bright ideas in his head and then starts it but neve gets the bloody thing finished.
I am sooooo tired of being the one who has to do everything around, make all the decisions, see to the kids, go to work.
I am tired !!!!!! I just want to run away and leave them all to it!!!!An' It Harm None, Do As Thou Will

BTW I got 28 kids in one fell swoop at 2 minutes to 12 yesterday.
A note was brought into class (prearranged) and miss announced that, as it was such a lovely day...they were having an EXTRA HOUR for dinner...while they all cheered and whooped I clicked my whiteboard - as if by magic the words April fools! appeared!

Flower - lock the kitchen cupboards and refuse to feed him until he does some? Or is that maybe a bit extreme?
No, that might work - he eats like a horse at the moment, but think it would just bring out the stroppy side again - that's the one I argue with, the one that stands and argues for 10 minutes about a 5 minute job that he could have done over twice if he had just got on with it...  teenagers!!!!!toottifrootti wrote: »pm coming your way flower.)
ETA: Thanks Toots, got it, am just replying...
Flying wise, I have been and done some shopping, been to staples for the club to collect some till rolls, then went to deliver those and arrived in the middle of an after funeral function (?), so felt very conspicuous in my jeans and scruffy demeanour. Quite a few people I knew there so gave my condolences and left quietly.
Got some scrummy cream cakes while I was out and Hubby was home when I got back :j so we decluttered those with a cup of tea...
Very nice it was too... He's now sitting in front of the telle watching the taped version of qualifying and the race, even though he's seen it...
I'm back upstairs working away trying to catch up... will see you all later...

Afraid I only did 20mins Toots, but I got all the stuff from the attic(apart from the electric rads, will have to get them in the morning, my legs are aching already!!!
I hav ewritten a list of stuff we need to take and I may need a truck!!
OH, poo, left the drinking glasses up there.....oh, well, will have to get them in the morning as well0 -
I'm off to cook dinner now, and have hardly fluttered at all today, will do some more and put my list up this evening...but I did walk into town and got some good bargains in M&S, got myself autograph jeans for £5 and a pair of mens black cords for ds2 ( £5 as well )...they were having a bigl mark down on stuff if anyone is going near a M&S tomorrow it's well worth a look.
Summermoon or was it FlyladyFlower? I see your names as similar pictures in side my ageing head! ~ I've been there on the studying front with my eldest, and ds2 is showing signs of same behaviour.....having tried wheedling, persuading, reasoning etc etc with ds1, I am coming to the conclusion that sometimes you just have to let them fail and take the consequences....sorry not to be more helpful, I find this solution hard as I'm a fixer and a solver by nature, but I'm wondering if it might be the way for us.0
