Yes rosepink, OH is a gardener in his spare time and is very good at DIY, so gets asked to do handyman type jobs by neighbours sometimes. He's got a chainsaw qualification too, hence the sawdust.
Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.

Rach83, could you get an extension cord and put the freezer and dryer in there and and use the extension cord to plug them in to another room? You can use a multi socket plug thing so you only need one extension cord, and you can kind of fix it to the skirting board so you won't trip over it all the time.
Hope this makes sense, I'm not explaining myself very well! Alternatively, you could just an electrician to put some sockets in the room!

you see to you and i that makes sence.. tried telling DH that earlier on when we was there and he says (in his own words edited to remove the swearing)"why the bleeping hell should i put this stupid bellping bleep of a house at risk of fire running an extention cord into a room when there should be a plug socket in there in the first place and its the councils bleeping bleep bleep fault the kitchen had to be replaced and we lost so many bleeping plug sockets in the first place bleeping bleep"

altho what he dosent know wont hurt i can hide the cord under the carpet. the electrition's a good idea too maybee an online quote's in order..

it was really funny trying to understand his scottish swear words tho. well funny untill the little one kept repeating pish over and over.

mum of two they could have laid eggs already if you have only just found them they may have been there since friday (school) therefore would have laid by now. aparently they lay every four days and hatch every three but have to be eight days old before they can breed.HTH

Hugs FFP, you have been through a lot lately. How is OH after his scare last week? Is he ok? How are you coping with all the upsets?

The only way I know to cope, panic and stress about it. OH fine Rose thanks for asking. He help me clear the house today which is a novelty. He is still having pains every now and then but at least he is taking the medication from the hospital without me having to nag/remind him all the time so that's a bonus.

Just helped DS2 finish his colouring in pic for the meet the King club that starts tomorrow. So I will have 2 hours each day of the hols with DS1 & DS2 not killing each other, happy days!

All the kids playing out the back so it's going to be a crying match when I tell them it's bath time in a minute, Oh the joys of motherhood!

ETA Rachel are Scottish swear words different from other ones??????????

Quick question. How long after you find live headlice  do they lay eggs?

If you google it you should find your answer, I did have a sheet once that explained the life cycle of a nit - it wasnt pleasant reading. Cant find it now tho

Anyway when my DD had them (reg for a year!) I used to check her regularly but basically do the conditioner method every day for a fortnight & only when there was nothing after 3 days was I happy.

Honey honey calm down - they are only nits you will get through this.

If you have found adults - about the size of an ant then they have probably already laid their eggs. So what you do is every 2 days from now on you slap on the conditioner and comb through with a nit comb - nitty gritty is the best to buy if you have to buy one as it gets out the eggs as well as the lice. You continue until you have had a clear comb or two and then you reduce to every four days to check. HTH and at least you found them now! I have just nitcombed DS3 as a precaution and he is fine.
