Dinner scoffed. DH gone to meet a freecycler, boys in the garden playing footie.

Cats want their dinner but I'm making them wait until 7 as Woody is going for the snip tomorrow so no breakie for any until he has been taken to the vet.

Going up to start making beds and run the bath for DS3.

Hi everyone I'm so glad to be back on here, yahoo and facebook were confusing me:confused: although it's good to see what everyone looks like.

Plenty of flying to keep busy today waiting for hospital to phone. OH dad fell last night cracked his head and is now in hospital. His head is OK (waiting for ct scan) but he is on blood tablets and his blood is too thick, normally its too thin and so they are keeping him in. At 75 yrs he shouldn't be behaving like a teenager but there is no telling him.

House all sparkly and clean and OH helped:eek:

you can now remove your thanks, may come in handy!

Haven't caught up with the thread yet so hope everyone's well x

Felt weird without the thread but like the remove thanks button, in case we have any more rude interlopers like g'n'b's stalker last week.

Am now desperately behind with my OU Spanish so my main flying for the next 3 weeks will be to get that back on track so will need to cut right back on internet time and mindless surfing, so if I'm not around much, I'm studying

Hope you all got lots of flying done while the site was off - enjoy the Easter hols all xx

FFP - renewed hugs for you, your oh and your Dad
Dusty - hugs for Woody tomorrow with the snip - hope he's not too traumatised by it.

I have an exhausted BB. What with lunching with the girls yesterday, then being taken out into the New Forest for a picnic by DD and her bloke this afternoon, she's snoring away on the settee trying to recover from her weekend social engagements.

I have had a nice quiet afternoon after the salmon hunting and freezing this morning. The salmon steak I had for lunch was lovely. Basically, I greased some foil with olive oil, stuck the salmon steak on it, added some finely chopped celery and onion, about half a wine glass of white wine, some fresh ground salt and black pepper and a pinch of dried dill, wrapped it all up in a little foil parcel then bunged in the oven on a medium heat for about half an hour. It was divine! So easy, even you could do it Toots! (You could always substitue the wine for a bit of grape juice, as long as it's not too sweet).

Chicken now in the oven roasting. Am off to peel the spuds.

Actually, I wonder if the 'Thanks' is the number of times I've thanked others?

ETA - no, I don't think that's it. The thanks and thanked have both gone up one since I last posted. And I've not thanked anyone since then...

ETA again - maybe it is - maybe my old brain is forgetful. The 'thanks' does seem to go up one when I thank others and the 'thanked' goes up when I get thanked....

It's just been one thing after another round here. OH and DS2 were at the opticans yesterday both need glasses OH not fussed DS2 having a fit about it. OH got DS2 national health specs I phoned round and asked if I could go and look at others as not sure what OH had picked out. So that had to been done, not easy either but thats a whole other story. Pops (OH dad) has been drinking like mad since Maw passed away and trying to tell him that Warferin (sp) and vodka don't mix is like banging you head against a brick wall. He's getting no sympathy from me as it's his own doing. Told SIL that I will try to keep him in check when she goes on holiday tomorrow so she may get back to a well tobered (sp)Dad!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sorry rant over.

Embb 0002017B.gif sorry I'm slow on the pick up.
