Morning all
Redruby, we also plan to put our house on the market soon but need painting jobs and a good garden tidy to do. I have 2 weeks hols coming up so hope to bash on with it then. My DSis has offered to come and help paint. Good luck with your plans.
Bright and sunny and gorgeous morning. On my 2nd cup of tea and still in PJs so will have to get in the shower soon. Have a lovely new bar of soap from Neals Yard. They have (had??) a temporary shop at Bicester shopping outlet and I bought some stuff a couple of weeks ago - 3 jars of night cream for £5. Wow! And this bar of soap was £1. Also bought a cleanser and they gave me a free bottle of face oil with its opriginal £7.50 sticker.
Going to roast a chicken for an early lunch. We're having broccoli, cabbage, carrots with it and maybe baked pots as that will save me boiling them up. Tonight I'll picke the chicken and make soup and that will be an easy tea of soup then chicken salad when I collect DS from the airport tomorrow evening.
Off to cinema this afternoon as DH wants to watch the Brian Clough film Dam*ed United. We don't usually go to the cinema but that will be 2 weeks in a row. Not very OS.
Back on OS front...I went to the library yesterday to collect my reservation - it's Larkrise to Candleford:D. I've been using the library a lot lately and really enjoying it. I also use the college library at work and am reading Margaret Atwood's 'Surfacing' at work during snatched lunch time moments.
Ok, off to get washed and dressed. The windows desperately need cleaning - I gave them a quick wipe a couple of weeks ago and it made them worse than ever so |I need to do it properly.
Never did get the plants bought but hey ho.

Bright morning looking through the window, but it smells cold to me..........I tried to do the post re-direction on the computer, but is came back at me and siad it could not verifiy my info.....silly thing, so we have to go to the PO this morning....Yes it is open on a Sunday in our local shopping mall.
No packing today, I was packing in my sleep last night, guess its beginning to get to me....just 2 days to go now and I can get rid of the boxes, for about an hour and then they will be back , ready to be filled again.
Chicken for supper tonight, it will do us 3 dinners. A couple of weeks ago I bought a chocolate sponge mix from Tesco, I am going to make it up and use it for a pudding with melted mars bar..........see what its like, it can bake in the oven with the chicken.

Morning All
I'm afraid I haven't been very OS this week apart from cooking and much of that was from the freezer, and I'm a bit behind with all the news. There seem to be a lot of OS'ers missing at the moment, hope they're all well and just busy.
It's a beautiful day here so washing is going out in a few minutes even though my elderly neighbour disapproves of hanging washing out on a Sunday. It's easy to see that she has never had to work outside the home and has always spent her Sundays doing not much.
Roast pork which, I got from the farm shop, for dinner with some lovely purple sprouting Brocolli, my favourite, plus the usual carrots and roasties etc. Got a rhubarb and cream cheesecake from the cheapie freezer shop for afters, 75p.
Congratulations and well wishes where appropriate and enjoy your day.0 -
Clocks have been moved forward, potatoes have been parboiled and pork is in the slow cooker ready to be Remoskad later.
Still sneezing and coughing so going upstairs for an hour with a hot drink.
DD(20) and her friend are still asleep so will just leave them for a while.
DD(15) has still not given me her school uniform to wash but I am not shouting upstairs for it - throat hurts!!!
Hugs to all and see you later"This site is addictive!"

Morning Everyone
Its a beautiful sunny day but decidedly nippy.Just got back from Mass with the kids and OH has gone to a Union meeting. The house resembles a bombsite and the laundry basket and ironing basket are both full to overflowing.Hmm me thinks I know what I'll be doing today
I've got my wii fit to do later and even later I have to do the wii fit with the kids.I tried getting them to do it themselves but they need the competitive edge of running their mother into the ground to get them moving:DOh well its all good healthy exercise.
I've got the remains of yesterdays Corned Beef Hash to turn into a pie for tea.I'll serve it with mash, cabbage and carrots.I have some banana cake in the freezer that can be served with custard for pud.So a nice easy meal for me tonight.Hubby is starting low carbing tomorrow so need to get a little more creative with my meal planning
I'm sorry but I didn't have time to catch up with the daily yesterday so ((((((((((hugs)))))))))) to anyone that needs them
Bargainbird if you get the wii pay the bit extra and get wii fit and the balance board because it really is worth it and believe me it makes you get fit

Morning Chums ,blooming chilly here in North Kent .Bought a new square tin to make a cake in yesterday in Sainsbobs as it was reduced, and I thought I'd make some iced chocolate cake to cut into squares. Have seem to have go the baking bug just lately and am filling up my DD's cake tins for her.I like cooking cakes but rarely eat them.Don't often go into sainsbobs but was pleased with my bargains .They had danish bacon at two for one in there at 2.99 so two packets with 10 rashers in work out at 20 rashers for 2.99 or just under 3p a rasher.my eldest DGS has a passion for bacon butties.I have frozen bacon some to take away with me in a couple of weeks time when I go bone-hunting with my pal in the Darbyshire dales. We have got a nice cottage and usually take a bit of stuff with us as we are self catering for most of the time. We shall hopefully find her long lost family whilst we are up there. I was quite impressed with my shopping yesterday as I didn't spend as much as I though I would.Got a decent sized leg of Lamb for DD for £8.00 for her freezer as well. Time to go and get started on my cakes though.Hope everyone has a good day <hugs> to those who are down and blue and a big smiley
to the rest of you.Have a good week
